No matter what, that was unsafe discharge. Once the patient could take care of herself, and did not leave the hospital on her own, the welfare of the patient was in the hands of the hospital. The doctor or medical director should take responsibility for such negligence.

In Ghana most service providers feel their doing 'good Samaritan' roles ooo, they never own up to their responsibilities, they dnt accept that they are paid to render these services but rather treat their victims as charitable cases because no one is ever held accountable

Not to defend this man and this case but a lot of health workers in this country are not being paid to do what they do. Not that healthcare is a place to make money but a lot of people in this country can't afford treatment and a lot of the financial help they get come from healthworkers. There's no place in the world where the service provider pays for the service they're providing but that's what happens in the Ghana Health Sector. So what he's saying about 'good Samaritan' de3 its true but it's not relevant in this situation.

The doctor and the other hospital administrators are concocting Kwaku Ananse stories. If the woman was treated and fully recovered as he claims, why would they need an ambulance to convey her back to her hometown? Were the hospital discharge forms countersigned by the woman? And where are the paper trails/emails showing that the social service team had agreed to take delivery of the woman? And why didn’t the hospital follow up to confirm safe arrival of the woman home? Most Ghanaian health professionals don’t really care about human life. They are just in the profession as a means of earning livelihood but they really don’t care if patients live or die

The reason why I drink only bottled water is, in 2019 I had serious stomachache when I started drinking the sachet water at winneba Aseibu during my schooling at UEW, the medicine I got from that hospital spoiled everything. So I had to go to berekum NewBorn pharmaceutical for treatment and I still buy my medication from Newborn till now even tho I stay at Accra now

Incompetency at its highest level. Many has occurred, but this one was exposed to the public. Dr.had declared eminent psych symptoms noted in the patient but no psych services connected and decided to dump her on the road side like an inanimate object. He should be investigated from where he obtained the medical degree. Justice should be served by prosecution.
