That “chipmunk” voice is the one & only Captain Hongjoong’s voice distorted. I’m waiting on a video for Ateez’s Wake Up. Our fandom is A-teeny. Ateez + Destiny All of Ateez’s MVs & live stage performances tie into the story in some form, they live leaving Easter eggs that make us kick ourselves for not seeing.

So glad you reacted to this song. I love this group. I love how they combine rock and hip-hop. Kinda reminds me of The Beastie Boys in a way. Their captain or leader Hongjoong does covers. They have 3 "eras" so far: Treasure Era (Their debut era), Fever Era (Second era) and The World Era (Present Era). The World Ep. 2 Outlaw is the Era and album name. Treasure Era albums in order: All to Zero Zero to One One to All All to Action Action to Answer Fever Era albums: Part 1, 2, 3, and Epilogue The World has two albums so far: Part 1 and 2 There is also 'Spin off: From the Witness' that they did but apparently it's separate from these three eras (according to the leader of ATEEZ)

The chipmunk voice is the parrot singing (there is probably a reason, they are pirates, so maybe its like a cute little thing to remind us). I agree usually its annoying and unnecessary but somehow it works.

3:42 I fully relate, I typically hate the chipmunk voice stuff yet somehow it works and it's good? It could be in part that the first time either of us heard it (since the first time was watching the video when it came out too) the voice was shown coming from the Parrot, so we just kinda accept it because that's the parrot singing it again, even if it's not on screen (or its a live stage or just audio). Also, hilariously, the members like to sin along with that part when they did encore stages after music show wins

Was my first time able to catch a live but of course got pulled away like 5 mins in! wahhh lol I'm so sad I would've loved to see you react to this live with all my lore knowledge that i'm still learning!! Couple of things! -Atiny are Ateez fans! It's Ateez+destiny, because Atiny are their destiny and without them theres no Ateez -They're had 3 series with their albums, Treasure, Fever (actually prologue story wise), and now the recent one is World, and World pt2 outlaw is just the new album that Bouncy is on. -Money in the mouth to give the illusion of a cigar or cigarette, like you'd think to see in one of the underground manager types, BUT smoking is seriously looked down on with idols, so they used the money instead. Same feel, but it won't get the video censored or in trouble with the broadcast companies. -My one issue with the shot scene is that I wish they had filmed Hongjoong talking the shot in the direction they'd have the bullet go the rest of the time, just for that story continuity. I also winder if you caught the required Akira reference with the bikes in the first verse? There's the light trails, and then Yeosang (the one in red that does rap later) does The Slide

I'm glad you're honest, like me, this song and dance is very cool and iconic, the first and middle parts are super nice, only the voice changer for the chorus broke me down and almost turned me off. I don't know what the producer is thinking, many people including me, I like Djungo the most in this album, I hope you can listen to it. Also epic music. Many people asked KQ to shoot the MV. I'm glad you like Mingi. Although his voice is deep and big, he has a delicate heart, so he suffered from stage fright. My bias is San, but I like Mingi to get more encouragement. His voice is super special.
