Finally, someone who gets this man's perspective..This song was therapeutic for some of us ikonics..It gave us hope knowing B.I (Hanbin ) was ok and would continue to shine in spite of a setback.. I'm a fan of Hanbin basically since WIN in 2013. When he left iKON , he was one of my most favorite people in kpop and I missed him so much. And when he released this, he delivered exactly that feeling of "I went through really dark times, but don't worry, I'm better now." And it was just so emotional, sad but comforting at the same time. And till now I can't watch this or listen the song without tears. And I'm so proud that he's able to give that emotions also to people who doesn't know him. He is a really special artist, he's so real and so relatable with his art, he really is worth your, anyones, attention.

This is my fav B.I song. It's sad, yet beautiful and hopeful. I loved your interpretation. I'm glad he came back to the music industry after the hard and painful times because B.I is such a talented songwriter/producer/singer/rapper.

how you interpreted the ending part of hanbin in the studio, when you said that music, his art, is "how i CHOOSE to carry on" i got CHILLS. hanbin has been through this deeply traumatizing journey and he has publicly stated that making music has allowed him to process and reflect on his experiences, and translate and express his emotions. you coming to that conclusion without any background to his story is so validating. it's been a pleasure to hear your insight!

Thank you for reacting to B.I. He is amazingly talented and got a raw deal. I am so grateful that he didn't crumble and came back to gift us with some fabulous solo gems. Illa Illa is my absolute favorite!

To understand him more, please check out his charity album Love streaming and the song 'Midnight Blue'. The meaning of his mother has been expressed there. His mother and the whole family supported him through the hard times. Hanbin will be forever grateful for his mom. It wasn't easy for him to come back to music business after he left the group where he was a leader. It happened next year after iKON's best year 2018. Early 2019 Hanbin received a daesang award 'The songwriter of the year' of the song "Love Scenario" and that song received also multible awards. But his former issues from 2016 caused troubles in June 2019 and he left the group to save the other members. He was silent till the March 2021 when he released Midnight Blue and his official comeback as a soloist happened June 1.2021 with this Waterfall album. He is incredible and very talented artist. He had his first worldtour last year and he came to Europe visiting 14 countries and 16 venues in a month!

This is amazing! And so meaningful! His first relase after leaving/ Having to leave his group IKON. Very hard times and the lyrics still make me tear up till this day... The hopeful feeling mostly at the end gave me a lot of comfort that he would be able to recover and continue to make music...❤❤ I believe you 've really nailed the meaning of the videoclip, at least in my opinion... You guessed there must be a story for this song.. Yes he got kicked out of iKON because of a drug scandal and this was the first album after the repentance time. He was so nervous wondering if the world would take him as an artist again. That's why he could not end the video with a "subtle smile" yet I guess..
