I wasn't a huge fan of MJ and I used to find his performances of MJ's songs a bit cringey but I do admit to wanting to hear him do Earth Song again now his English has improved so much. Going back to the 6 degrees of separation. A woman who provided nursing care to MJ just before his marriage to Lisa Marie was given a poster by him before she left the house. Michael signed and dated it for her and told her that if she got rid of it to make sure it went to someone who loved him. Much later in her life she became a Dear and discovered that Dimash was a huge MJ fan. Sat drinking coffee in LA she spotted Dimash walking past the window, her friend chased after him and they made arrangements to meet the next day so that she could give him the poster. When they opened the poster for Dimash to look at they both realised that the poster had been signed on the day Dimash was born.

I also used to cringe when watching Dimash in this Tribute to MJ. I have become a bit more tolerant but still avoid watching it. I do believe that Dimash would do a much better job today of the Earth song and dancing if all were redone with his better English and danse skills. 💞💞💞 I loved some aspects/ songs of MJ, hated others, and overall felt very sorry for the man despite all his fame and money.🥰🇨🇦

Dimash's english is so much better now. He's so cute here. He sings 15 languages but speaks Kazakh, Russian, fluently, some Mandarin and of course English. He sings Earth Song a duet with Victor Ma you should check out. High energy and a little different. That is the man in the video looking up. Thank you Roscoe.

Dimash speaks Kazakh, Russian and he is getting good at English. He sings in several languages but he only speaks 3, that's already not bad. Dimash grew up with MJ, he's a big fan, he paid tribute to him. On the other hand, the photo that you didn't like, Dimash sees only the man, his idol, not his envelope. And this period of MJ's life is as important as all the others :) And don't worry, MJ is unique and Dimash is another huge artist, each in their part

Но ведь во время танца надо ещё умудряться петь,и контролировать дыхание. Ведь Димаш на своих концертах поёт вживую. Он держит себя в хорошей физической форме. И в своих интервью он иногда говорит,что чтобы петь четыре часа подрят, надо иметь хорошую физическую форму. Lei por alli, que a una sra muy querida por MJ , porq trabajo muchos años con el, éste le regalo un afiche autografiado con la fecha24/5/94., y le dijo que lo vendiera. Ella dijo q no, que podria regalarlo. El le comentó, si lo haces regalaselo a alquien que me admire. La sra en cuestión cuenta que estaba muy enferma y oyó cantar a Dimash y le recordó mucho a MJ, se dedicó a oir a Dimash y poco a poco fue recuperando sus ganas de vivir. Se hizo dears de Dimash y se propuso regalarle el afiche. En unas de las visitas de Dimash a EEUU, ella estaba con unos amigos tomando cafe y lo vio pasar con su gente. Hizo a los amigos alcanzaran a Dimash porque ella no podia movilizarse rápidamente por sus piernas, . Le explicaron a Dimash lo que queria la sra, y le dio una cita para encontrarse el otro dia. Resulta que cuando la sra le da el afiche, la fecha de la firna, es el dia de nacimiento de Dimash. Ud. Se podra imaginar lo demás.

He loves Michael Jackson. I am one of the people who adores the pop side of Dimash; I love seeing him having fun and doing music that he enjoys! There are some people who don't appreciate it because they are so used to his operatic or dramatic songs that the shift doesn't compute but one of the things that makes him the best is his ability to do everything! You can see a lot of the MJ influence in pretty much all of his pop work. He sings in 14 languages now, I think, because he did the native song in Yemen at a concert recently. He is working on speaking 4 or 5. And he plays 7+ instruments, I believe.

Hi, Roscoe, and thanks for your great Dimash reactions!! He is up to singing in 13 or more languages now, but only SPEAKS three: Kazakh, Russian and is becoming pretty fluent in English. Yes, MJ was a HUGE impact on Dimash! There are at least 2 other Dimash performances of Earth Song! One with rapper Victor Ma is WILD!! The other, duet with a wonderful Chinese singer, Laure Shang (in which he briefly plays drums). Note: it is NOT the fan version.

MJ definitely influenced Dimash, as a musician. A lot of Dimash's own compositions has that MJ flare to it. And if you watch more of his "pop" songs, he swings his hips a lot. Because he dances too. He says it does not come naturally to him. I love the fact that they decided to strap him into a rig and float him over the crowd as he just sings beautifully. lol. The guy loves heights.

His love of heights will be the death of me! From running up a roof to sailing in a silver ball across the audience to abseiling down from the ceiling to the last one of being lowered 70ft down the front of the jumbotrons. I hold my breath every time he does it.

Dimash grew up idolising MJ and it shows. In the early part of his rise to global fame Dimash always paid tribute to MJ in his concerts in some way. En el de Almaty bajó desde una torre de 30 metros, ha cantado también en u a esfera que viajó sobre las personas al mismo tiempo que cantaba SOS! Dimash first performed the MJ tribute on the I am Singer episode 13 , arranged by producers of the show. He includes it in his Bastau concert when he returned to Kazakhstan. I also recommend you watch “Give me your Love” from the Moscow concert. It is his own song written as an homage to MJ.

I don’t feel Dimash captured the essence of MJ that I’m looking for; and my proof is the actual shots of MJ that were used. Dimash has that theatrical & in this case almost opera like performance which isn’t my cup of tea. Personally, Jimin & Jungkook of BTS’ performance of ‘Black or White’ were a closer representation of MJ, imo. That being said Jimin, has been said to be the most MJ like.
