It was very ahead of its time. I can't imagine a banger like that being released four years ago and being a fan favorite. The horror elements, the sudden verses that stopped the momentum the chorus built and then rap comes in, it's so fascinating honestly. Jeonghan's 'gyesokhae, banbokhae, nappeuge, saranghae' will always live in my mind.

Wozzi said this song is actually about their fears they had about their creative processes. They consumed those insecurities like poison. So the lyrics kind of seem like a back and forth with themselves. The visuals point to a lot of fears and insecurities each member has...Jeonghan just being known for his beauty, Dino alone in front of twelve empty mics or maybe even performing BEHIND those members, not getting attention as a solo artist, Hoshi losing his youth and wrapping fresh flowers on his arm, etc. One their next album, they have a b-side sequel song called Fearless, that tells of the overcoming all their insecurities about themselves as a group! It doesn't have an MV but there are live performance music show vids that are AMAZING!! Check out the lyrics video too. You'll see what it's tryig to say.

Fear is one of Seventeen’s greatest songs that was too ahead of its time. I’m just so glad people are so in love with it nowadays. this is one of my favourite songs ever and one of my fave svt mv's. doesn't suffer from kpop overediting and is exciting and evocative. that slow shot of joshua at the start gets me every time. LOVE

I get to like all hybe groups cuz they are like babies I really adore but that's it.. When I first got into Seventeen, this song/MV cemented for me that they knew what they were about creatively because it was so different - it was bold, made use of the different vocal capacities of their singers; the visuals are unexpected, it took us on a journey through their emotions, which were not obvious (when you listen to enough KPOP, you know that lyrics are not always about the obvious). And you crave for more, the viewer wants to delve more into the group and their music. Seventeen are now in my Top 5 KPOP artists but that's after discovering who they are and what they're on about. Just like every KPOP artist in their age group, they're going through growth/change. We'll soon be sentimental over their songs from five+ years ago.

Omg yes!!!! I have had this song on repeat since I discovered it last week so exciting!! Seventeen is a group of 13 they are broken into 3 groups: hip-hop, performance, and vocal. These groups have 3 leaders: S.coups, Hoshi, and woozi. ( humbly begging you to check out SVT Leaders: Cheers) and S. Coups is the overall leader of the group. Woozi and s.coups also produce and Hoshi directs choreo. 13+4 Leaders=17. I believe that's what he said on the clip. Someone please help if I'm wrong, I get excited.

They make me that way, too! 😉) The meaning behind SEVENTEEN's name (as it is currently explained & broken down by the members themselves, in interviews, etc.), actually refers to: 13 = Members (total # of individuals) 3 = Units° (Hip Hop, Performance, & Vocal) 1 = Team (all members+units, together as a whole) 13 + 3 + 1 = 17 (SEVENTEEN ) °The 3 main "Units", each member is primarily categorized into (although, honestly, all of them are pretty much aces & excel in everything...): "HIP HOP" Unit (**S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon) "PERFORMANCE" Unit (*Hoshi, Jun, The8, Dino) "VOCAL" Unit (*Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, Seungkwan) * = Unit Leaders (S.Coups, Hoshi, & Woozi) ** = The leader of both the Hop Hop Unit, and of SEVENTEEN as a whole (S.Coups)

fear era: the lost era good lord you would never imagine how much this was hated by the general public and carats as well back on 2019, this seventeen comeback was literally a major flop based on the reception, majority of carats rejected the image change
