About that "Until now this was Seventeen" thing: That is the literal (word for word) translation, but this phrase is a colloquialism that we don't exactly have an equivalent for. Imagine there was a host who introduced them. At the end of the performance a host might say "That was Seventeen ladies and gentlemen!" It's like that, but when there is no host a performer/speaker will say it about themselves. In South Korea a performer or speaker at a public event or program will introduce themselves "This is/I am/We are _____." or "Starting now, this is ______." It's just what people say when greeting an audience. And when they are done speaking or performing, right before leaving the stage/ending a radio or TV interview they will say "We were/This was_____" or "Until now this was ______" as a goodbye salutation.

I'm so glad you got to react to their Killing Voice, it's one of my favorite things and I often return to it through other people's reactions. Aren't they just so wonderful? So many amazing songs and a variety of sounds, even amongst the members so many lovely unique voices and styles and yet the come together so beautifully. Yay!!! I was so excited for your reaction to Seventeen’s killing voice. They really can do it all from self produced, lyrics, choreo, vocals and visuals, and are the most fun and chaotic group. Their variety show Going Seventeen is probably the most entertaining there is. I really believe they have the best chemistry. The fanchant is insane, I had to have a cheat sheet at their concert.

this killing voice showcased how GOOD all seventeen members are at vocals, even those members who are in the hip hop or performance unit. i stan a lot of groups but if i had to pick a favourite group? i would pick seventeen. their song 'home' literally saved me, it's so powerful i can't listen without crying so i don't very often but if i had to build a playlist of my life, that song would be in there

there are three leaders S.Coup is the main leader, Woozi vocal leader, and Hoshi performance leader in Seventeen. Hoshi is Japanese for star. If you wondering why they are called seventeen it is because 13 members + 3 units + 1 group.
