You can ask him any circumstances , but he will be always on the surface, he's genius. Even after alcohol man is steady, can keep secrets. Only his members know everything. 😅

Personally, I think that part of the reason US interviews are so shallow is because if they do anything to upset JK, then he probably won't come back and neither will any of the other members of BTS. That's a hell of a lot of pressure on the interviewer. And that's not even taking into consideration how ARMY would react if the man upset JK.

i don't necessarily agree, compared to most american interviews i've seen with JK or BTS this one is actually pretty good. not all questions were super deep but at least he made JK feel comfortable and asked some alright questions, i didn't have an issue with it .

Kookie will and would never really be comfortable getting deep with someone he doesn't know peep the difference between when members interviewed him how deep he gets he still fidget and rocks but he's more comfortable going there.

If you watch even BTS interviews Kookie rarely can stop moving around or touching things heck he has a hard time not touching things during performance lol so I think giving him something he can slightly force on and use his hands on seemed to relax him even more.

I find many BTS/BTS member interviews in America a bit hard to watch. I think it has to do with the language barrier and type of questions asked..about 50/50. If shallow questions are asked, they'll likely get a one word, throw away answer. If the question is more in depth, the answer can be more informative and nuanced but by the time translation happens, there's no flow and follow-up is more difficult. As a viewer, we see an edited version of the interview too. Pauses for translation are cut out, etc. So, in my opinion, it all adds up to a slightly awkward interview where no one seems comfortable. (RM is probably the exception bc his English is so good.)

With canned questions and probably canned responses it was as good as it could get. I think the language barrier of Korean to English is harder for us to translate as their language is way more complex than ours. The nuances of Korean is entirely baffling, to me at least. Where we use 5 words for a sentence, they can have twice as many words and lots of them don’t translate to English in an easy way - the meaning is literally lost in the translation - right? I think the puzzle was for Kookie’s sake as a distraction for his ADD - he is so restless - this gives his hands something to do - yeah?

This interview wasn't that deep... you know who I wanna hear interview Jungkook? I wanna hear Zach Sang interview Jungkook. 'Cos I know Zach Sang really does his homework when he interviews artists. I wanna know what he might ask Jungkook, and I'm looking forward to hearing what Jungkook's answers might be. In all likelihood, he'll uncover more than the fact that JK won't be getting a 2nd pet. I wouldn't call it "trickery" though, 'cos interviewing is most definitely a skill. The best interviewers have the right skills to bring out the very best in their interviewees, not so much to uncover scandalous things which would eventually not be in the best interests of the interviewee, but more so that they can bring out the individual flavour or unique character of their interviewee's personality, and insights into their mindset and beliefs, and in finding out who they are as artists.

Most of the times American interviews are kind of shallow, maybe with Bts, Korean, foreign artists, than with the American ones

It may be a language thing because there is a lot of nuances the don't translate. But to me a lot of western interviews be it solo or group of the BTS members are cringy. Not the best interview by far not the worst I've seen it was okayish.

It's not like this is a psychiatric medical convention and they're interviewing Sigmund Freud....it's not "shallow", it's simply a friggin' promotional interview, like the other hundreds he probably already had to do...lol
