I agree the Director has kept a whole lot of us anywhere close to sane.. I know the off-season it a terrible time for us football fans and definitely us chargers fans on top of everything else.. thank god, there was a bottom barrel hc to a top of the line hc.. so now all of us are actually looking forward to the start of the regular season.. and I am not even going to order tums by the case...lol we all knew staley was going to blow the season... but we also couldn't turn away from the train wreck.

If there is any validity in a camp battle between QJ (who was the 2nd WR taken with the 22nd pick last year and BR (who was the 32nd WR taken with the 225th this year) it shows you that the depth of Wr talent that is available.

You are over thinking x,y,z WR positions respective passing trees and who gets the 1st QB reads. It's who has the best hands 1, 2 and 3. I suspect McConkey Kong ends up WR #1. Palmer #2. QJ #3 or who Herbert trusts the most as his "go to" WR's. My .02

Until the season is well underway I dont see Ladd being as good as KA#13 (whos prob going to be a borderline HOFr) or as good as Derius Davis who was pretty much the best in the league last year as a returner (Its wild to put that kind of pressure on Ladd when he hasnt even played a game yet). Now I like Ladd but this is a bit of a reach... lets see how he looks gameday first before giving him GOAT like accolades. I see him being a great asset to the team but I dont know if I agree with the KA#13 and DD#12 take, who are both proven gameday threats at their positions. I honestly dont even think Ladd will be our #1 receiver when the offense has all its tools in place. I do see him being one if not our biggest threat to get open... but I see another receiver most likely taking on CB#1s from opponents.
