I rented these for a party. I got 4 boxes of subs and 4 boxes of highs. I put them on a floating dock at a beach 5 miles from civilization. At 11:15 police showed up and said that the people 6 miles across the lake called and said it sounded like their home stereo was at full. This was by far the loudest speakers I've ever heard.

i wish they would put some kind of black mesh inside the grill. It would look much cleaner. It always looks cheap in my opion when you can see the cones.

Smaller, lighter, more portable, easier setup, but not as loud or as powerful. Configures easily as a vertical array, not a horizontal one like the Synergy series.

Would they work well in a one PSA1 by side in venues with a low ceiling or do they need to be in 2 by side configuration to perform at their best?

It looks like it's supposed to be a Bose knockoff with the capabilities of the QSC KLA line. Still, cool nonetheless.

What Bose product are they knocking off? The comparison to KLA is better overall. The multiple 6" drivers create a virtual point source and more consistent horizontal off-axis performance than the KLA single 12" woofer.

Not a line array. Not long enough. Just stacked speakers.

Not quite, these will array in a more coherent manner than just stacking speakers vertically. The multiple drivers combine into a single 'virtual' point source. Not a line array, true, but serves a similar purpose - getting a powerful sound system into a coherent point source package that is still modular and preserves sight lines.
