Tim, thanks you for this marvellous video and this wonderful watch. I must say, that this is the most wonderful atch withintegrated bracelet next to the Royal Oak. As you said. This dial, this depth that it provides is second to none. This is definitely the - far - best contemporary design that i (personally) saw during the last ............30 ? years. O Tim I think I need this thing. I wonder when I will pull the trigger (as Tristano always says) This Direnzo guy is a genius !! Your cannel is food for the addict !

This is such a beautiful watch; when I discovered it in the German "Uhrforum" I simply had to go for it. I've ordered the white version with the black hands (which is sold out in the meantime!) and I can't wait for the postperson to ring ... About the colour you show: I think it should be called 'petrol' (maybe Sergio, who seems to read along here, can take this as a suggestion), as this colour is - in my humble opinion - definitely not 'blue'. And one thing you forgot to mention - the coating of the case and the bracelet, which is invisible (so it doesn't change the look and feeling of the steel), and which makes it four times (!) harder and more scratch-resistant than titanium! Let me add two more remarks: - What you had in your hands was a "prototype" piece, the lume and the antiglare-coating of the sapphire will still be intensified! - You should have given more attention to the bracelet: The "flow" of it - as can be seen in other previews (kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3rLiWd-aNV0oa8, 8:56-9:18) - is outright incredible! Conclusion: I don't think that anyone out there has a prettier and technically better watch for this amount of dough! Stay healthy and keep up the good work Alf P.S.: @Sergio: I hope your kids have new shoes by now ;•) And I do hope the box for the watch will be a bit more sophisticated than the ones seen in other videos.

Most colourists would call that 'Teal'. A very sophisticated colour. It's a nice watch in many ways though I'd like to see a leather strap adaptor system on some of these integrateds, if it can be done tastefully. The price seems reasonable overall. Many thanks for this offering.

Well said. The polished sections of this bracelet are a little 'flashy' for my taste, but overall a more refined design than most, if not all of the other entry level int. bracelet offerings. That said, the brutal PRX really appeals to me.

The Tissot PRX is basically a renamed re-issue of a watch they produced in the 70's. The built quality is exceptional for the price. So will be the Direnzo DRZ 04 I hope. I bought one and can't wait for it to arrive in June. Still will get the PRX Powermatic, also coming in June. I said it before: June's gonna be a very integrated month! 😁

I would also say blue. (And I have a color calibrated screen.) The color meter shows mostly green and blue, with slightly more blue than green everywhere, so you could maybe call it blue-green or turquoise, but not just green.

Great review! But why didn't you say anything about the scratch resistance coating of the case and bracelet (HV 800)? Does it really work or is it just a marketing trick?

This aspect I have completely forgotten. I don't think that it's only marketing, because you can measure the resistance. But if you know that the watch is scratch resistant then this could lead to a rougher life for the piece. You don't baby it and might end up with exactly the same amount of scratches. So I wouldn't overestimate it.

My first reaction was 'meh' but it certainly grew on me quickly. The bowl dial looks great, as do the curved & circular dial elements. I call that colour teal. It reminds me of the sea as you fly into Sydney, the Gold Coast, Maroochydore etc., here in Australia. So it makes me think 'holiday'! I don't agree that it 'eats the PRX without chewing' but it is a great alternative, especially for those with smaller wrists. Because as those PRX wristies start to show up on Insta I'm thinking 'Jaysuz. That thing wears ʙɪɢ'. Some folks look like they're playing dress-up with Daddy-O's clothing! Good luck Direnzo! Great video. I would really enjoy a format on your channel where you talk about different straps paired with watches, the Urban Gentry channel used to have this format, really liked it. Also in these Corona times it would be very fitting, because like you said in an other video of yours, a new watch just isnt on the budget for many people in this current situation, but straps are much more affordable and a new strap is always something very nice for watch collectors. I like the colour but I am not a huge fan of integrated bracelets. The way the indices and hands etc have been designed and compliment one another is actually much nicer than what I've seen in a lot of big brand watches. Btw when you said this watch didnt go with everything did you mean because of the dial colour or the case shape?

Funny, I really dislike GG's designs but a lot of these integrated watches are very nice- maybe it's the RO & Nautilus dials & bezels that repel me?? Like this, very nice. Should eat the PRX tho, I'm sure there's a big price difference... & it's way nicer. Great design. Cheers 👍🏻👍🏻

Really nice watch but those lugs should've been shorter. For people with smaller wrists that flat case with slightly drooping lugs will leave a huge gap between the lugs and the wrist. Also, while it was nice for Direnzo to include a non-butterfly clasp (I hate them) as an option, why is it much wider than the tapered bracelet links? I agree with what somebody here said that this watch would also look great without a date (and ghost position)!

3 things are troubling my head about this watch; 1- It's teal the dial colour, neither blue nor green, actually is nice, i like it but I would like one that is really blue you know... Is the color like this because this is a prototype yet? will the color of the actual product be improved? and if this is the colour so they need to change the colour name as teal and change the product photos on the website. 2- The sapphire I guess is not anti reflective? it's says so on the website but in the video there's so much reflections obviously. 3- I wish the size was 38 mm. The smaller case would suit this design better. everything else seems great. İt's overall a very elegant, modern, very vell made daily-sports watch.

It has a certain German design aesthetic, so I can understand the draw for you. But to me it lacks the design elegance of Bauhaus and seems a bit bland. Aesthetics of course are subjective, and I'm glad that Mr. DiRenzo is in the game.

Hi Tim, The colour of the watch looks teal to me. I am a bit confused by your comparison to the Tissot PRS. My understanding is that the PRS is a chronometer and not at all like the DZ4. Did you mean PRX? Even at that, granted, the PRX is just a PR100 dial on a vintage-looking flat case with an integrated lug structure and not as beautiful as the DRZ, I must tell you that the DRZ is, for all intents and purposes, a microbrand, with all the handicaps this entails in a supply and demand market. The two words most associated with microbrands, are ‘sold out’ and the end result is a delay, with the potential client being forced to jump through the usual hoops… Tissot is a watch company with a history, some decent entry-level Swiss watches and lots of credibility. Microbrands are nothing more than someone’s hobby… At times cute but really just a hobby… Love your work by the way...

I've made a preview when it was announced and saw then several reviews. It's really not a bad piece, but I compared the details and the Direnzo is imho clearly ahed. For example I'm not obsessive with date windows/wheels, but that white thing on the Tissot is just raw. Not to mention the dial colour and form. That's why I love micros like Direnzo. They MUST deliver something special otherwise they go south. Tissot can say: Well, it is a Tissot. I find this a bit painful, because I LOVE the heritage line. Owned the Lisboa and now the Navigator and those are just great pieces.

To me Tissot PRX looks mire classic and classy. This dial is too annoying compared to more tranquil one of Tissot. Same with hands. Tissot is going to launch the automatic version of PRX which most probably will beat this one on the market.

@@EscapementWatch Tissot’s is extremely distinct from AP’s and I doubt it’s possible to know now to what extent it was copied/influenced/etc especially as it took a long while for that generic design to become popular. It far more closely resembles Zenith’s Defy but that came later. Perhaps what’s merited is a proper examination of the history of borrowing designs in the watch industry and why it’s tolerated (I mean socially but legally as well I suppose) in some industries but not others. And I believe Tim - if you’re reading - could probably do such a subject justice in a way very few others would.
