+jimmydiresta I think cable is dying a slow death. My kids prefer youtube videos made by other kids their age over television. One of them was an 8-year-old kid with 9 million subscribers. I don't think people mind the lack of "polish" that youTube might have. It's about real people. I know the trick is making money on KZbin and product placements and endorsements are they way of the game. And I appreciate how you pick and choose who/what to use. Recently I have watched a number of makers who have the same endorsements at roughly the same time and that to me starts to feel a lot like a commercial to me. Keep it up Jimmy, Always waiting for the next video!

A quality slick is supposed to have a slight swoop in it. The sides of the slick are dead straight for checking the surface of the timber being hewn for high spots. The swoop allows for a more controlled and refined push. This is how one recognizes the difference between junk and quality. The center of the swoop should land 2/3rds of the way down the slick proper when a straight edge is laid from the very beginning of the metal handle recess to back edge of the sharpened tip. Antique slicks are far more refined than the newer knock offs. Someone probably broke it while ignorantly trying to increase that swoop which is hardened into the slick. Merry Christmas to you and your entire family Jim. And God bless you all.

MIT used to have a building called "Building 20", which was "temporary" barracks from WWII. It was all-wood construction and it was so old and forlorn that the labs there were allowed to poke holes in or even tear down walls, floors, ceilings, whatever, because the building was so old and "pliable". You would've loved it, but it was finally torn down a while back.

7:00 I love those anti vandal switches. I originally got a red illuminated circle and illuminated power symbol set off of ebay as an excuse to replace the flimsy power and reset/hdd switches on my Corsair PC tower and I've been using them for anything I can think of now. They're very rugged, but clean, and will probably outlast the case.
