Woah. This build has it all. Mad bandsaw skills, bondo, and a faux finish that is too notch. This will be the only rusty thing in Adam's shop.

Watching a genius at work is a privilege that you tube has given the world. Imagine if Michelangelo and Leonardo De'Vinci were being filmed and copied the amount of beautiful art works that would have come from that undertaking! Well Mr. Jimmy DiResta, I put you in the same category and I am so grateful for the experience.

Really nice finish. Said it before but it is still true, this is loaded with the kind of theatre set and prop building skills that you just don't see anywhere. BTW if you are turning a bunch of things like that you can rig up "drop sticks" to make it go quite fast. Basically clamp up a rod behind the lathe and cut sticks that will drop when the depth is right. They ride on top and when you cut is deep enough they pivot on the rod and drop. Really simple and speeds up making repetitive turnings a lot. As always fantastic work and I learned something new!

I LOVE that finish. I have some myself! Used it on the pickguard of a guitar. I learned the hard way that trying to use rattlecan clear coat over it completely ruins the finish. It reacts with the patina solution and makes it just look horrible. What I found that worked was the fixative spray they use for chalk pastels. Not durable, but it keeps my hands from turning orange when I touch it XD
