Man! Back in the day, Dirk's deadly! He's agile and could bring the ball coast to coast either with a dunk or just splash it from three. Damn.
@PandaHank413 жыл бұрын
He was doing that on a nightly basis for the Mavs during the early 2000's under coach Don Nelson. Didn't get to showcase them under Avery Johnson and Rick Carlisle.

People tend to remember the old slow Dirk there's a reason he was slow that reason is because of how athletic he played in his youth and the reason he was able to contribute at a high level when he was old and slower is because of that smooth shot

Well said!
@ryanmcphee84513 жыл бұрын
He wasn't that athletic he was so good fundamentally noone could touch em . He could drive he could play back to the basket and shoot the 3 not to mention pass and defend . This guy was the whole package the only guys better were Duncan, Malone and Barkley. Dirk was better then Garnett

Just from 8:12, he was playing against Chinese national team and how their commentators praise Dirk. You can learn how good he was.
@donnikrasniqi58733 жыл бұрын
Dirk was incredible when he still had his athleticism. Even when he won his championship he had deteriorated athletically. He would now doubt be the best player in today's NBA. Look at the defenders undercutting him when he shoots 3s. Illegal in today's game. Would have even more room to shoot.
@PandaHank413 жыл бұрын
He would no doubt average 30-32 ppg with ease in today's league. The game is called softer and teams play at a faster tempo. More possessions means more shots. He would thrive at the 5 position.

The German teams except for Dirk and maybe Okulaja were very bad, even so they managed some good performances like reaching the Olympics, a second place in the European championship and a third place in the world championship (and many individual awards). Something similar to Dallas although it had better teams, but not enough to win the championship (except for 2011) sorry for my english. Great vid
@PandaHank413 жыл бұрын
Yeah he had no help on the national team. He literally carried the team on his back and did everything on the court. And no need to apologize for anything! Thank you for watching 🙂

Anyone know why the Spanish casters started calling Dirk Robin Hood ?
@pangruel22682 жыл бұрын
I think the legend of Robin Hood involved him being an archery master. Very easy to get why they associated the nickname to Dirk from there. : )
