The beat is fire and the Mixing is great, but the Artist kinda dropped the ball, with the performance for several reasons: The monotone flow is lame and is not complementing the emotional beat. Also, her cadence is off as hell, on the beat and it sounds so bad its making me cringe. And finally, the lyrics aren't matching the beat at all, so overall, the Performance of the Artist is a 2/10 on a very good beat with a great Mixing engineer. Wasted potential. If you want to try and record kind of a ratchet style Rap, maybe start by recording standing up so you at least can feel the energy, then, hype up a bit, drop the monotone Rap and add some dynamics to your tone and lastly, select the right type of beat. Even if you wanted to get serious with this kind of beat, the lyrics need to have weight, these were shallow as they come. Hope I didn't come out as hating, I'm trying to keep it constructive and positive. As a Mixing video, I hope it went a bit more in depth, because of the production itself, it kinda breezed over, but it was great taking a glimpse of your process, its not a type of video that comes up often, so thank you for this. ♥️
