I'm not interested in cars or racing in the slightest but I can't turn down an offer for a free game and I got Dirt 3 for free on Steam... and I freaking love it! I might actually buy this. That would be my first time buying a racing game since the Flatout series (which has a different kind of appeal to it than racing).

ASH RUSSELL very probable it's basic ps4 considering the gfx and performance ...for example Horizon zero Dawn footage on this channel. I was sure it was the Pro version. Nope it was normal ps4. It looked absolutely amazing. Finished it and it looks even better when you play it. Seriously ps4 hardware from the devs is being used really well. It's not surprising since most multiplats on ps4 have graphic fidelity that's on par with medium to high on a pc. Ultra modes though are only possible on a pc ofcourse. That and the higher resolution. But I have such a good LED TV , 1080p is great for me. I'm a more humble/simple person I guess :)

And ok cool. i have a PC but try to divide my time between Pro and PC gaming.. this looks amazing at 1080p or pro enhanced i look forward to it.. these guys do such a great job...Horizon zero dawn i played in 4K mode and finished on Pro but maybe the 1080p was the option for better frame-rate.

Coming from DiRT RALLY on PS4, this looks like some good fun. Happy you guys went more towards sim feeling in Rally, and left the arcade feeling out. HOWEVER, in DiRT 4 I think it will be really cool to have both, for friends who play when they come over, and for when I like to play simulation style.

This is looking really good! And it seems the dev team really listened to feedback of DiRT Rally, because getting into that game as a newcomer was quite difficult, but now we have in-depth hands-on tutorials. My only hope now is that the "simulation" mode will be just as harsh as Rally's (or even harsher, I wouldn't mind :P), and that we'll get a demo (even small) to give the handling model a shot.

Finally some in-depth settings for the car. I play a lot of dirt rally, and the only flaw in it is the lack of customisation for the car settings. a big step up Dirt 4 :)

I like the new menu's, with your car in a 'paddock' area with team members around. Reminds me of Dirt 2 :) Dirt Rally was good, but had a lack of ambiance.

Don't forget Dirt 4 has YOUR STAGE feature. I don't usually buy game at full price but YOUR STAGE make me get it on day one. Hopefully Dirt 5 will have that feature too.

Hi, ark13700! Please, don't get wrong, but there is no such thing like simulator and arcade in the sabe game, sorry - developers can say what they want, but it doesn't exist. Let me put this way: If it is a sim, then it'll have some assists that will help the player to controle the car a little better, in the other hand, if it is an arcade, then there will be some sort of difficultness in handling to look it like a sim (but it won't have the sim physics). Anyway, I am really sorry to see the series go to the sim side, because one of the things that I most liked in Dirt 1, 2 and 3 was the arcady handling,

Love Dirt Rally, but I also like their older games as well. A hint of story like in Grid really goes a long way to make the game have a longer lasting appeal.

oasisbeyond DiRT4 got a easy mode for casuals but at the core it is the same as DiRT rally.

Will it have a rewind feature? I found the AI crazy hard in the last one and I'm not a noob. It's just a game you need to replay a lot and get great and better car to compete. I rented it, so I didn't have that time. Great game though, but, it's something you need to buy and dedicate yourself to it.

Because Dirt Rally was a simulator, Dirt I-3 was more like an arcade racing game.

It's funny too see so many people complaining about graphics and forgotten the most vital thing, it's a aplha build guys, it's not even a beta, it's a alpha, the graphics will be drastically improved so as the gameplay and etc... The thing that i don't like too much as a dirt series huge fan it's because the scenario of the game look's really generic (from the official pictures on steam) and it's not about the graphics alone, in my opinion this change could affect the immersion directly and it has consequences on the random tracks procedure, and i really hope in the final build the codemasters solve that, cause usually randomizing games come with problems (No man's sky and others)...

I miss some serious competitive mode for your rally games - something like WRC6 tournaments. And what would be nice is cooperative mode(driver with co), it could be simulator even for co-pilots. Editable itinerary for tracks would be perfect too

One of my main complaints about Dirt Rally is the amount of content. It doesn't have too many tracks. This looks really promising. I wish I had a better PC now lol

Is there any racing game with a VR feature or if not VR, a control that would make us easily check the sides? On a camera mode where you're inside the car and you would like to check the side mirrors etc. I mean, no driver/racer would race with a frosted neck and look "ONLY" straight ahead.

Actually Assetto Corsa has a VR mode, some other racing games also have them, can't remember them though.

Never played a game as much as I play Dirt Rally. Can't wait for Dirt 4. Codemasters are the best and TOCA 2 is still my favourite game. Not sure if I should get it for PC or PS4

DiRT 4 won't be PS VR ready at launch, as until then we're focusing on making the base game as best it can be. However, it's definitely something we're considering once that's done. Don't worry - we'll keep you posted on any updates on that front!

Once they experienced Dirt Rally VR , there is no way to go back to tv screen. Lot of vr owners bought Dirt Rally because of VR . there's over million VR owners out there combining psvr,Vive,Oculus and it keeps increasing. Please think twice about vr support. Dirt 4 will be the only rally game that supports VR(no other competition)

Cody King Thrustmaster T300RS. price is acceptable and the wheel is really good. only problem: only brake and gas, no cluch pedal. or Thrustmaster T500. higher price better than the t300 and all three pedal :)

I have to agree with Master Baiter! I got myself the t300 Ferrari edition with three pedals, it adds so much to the game! its not that easy sometimes, but I enjoy it way more! I am still playing DiRT2 but since tbe controller steering feeling has been changed dramaticaly since then, I prefere the Wheel!

when you play in VR, you will sense the real life size of driving road and it also has field of depth just like what you see in real life 3d. everything inside the cockpit , if feels like you can actually touch it. I rid of my triple screens after trying VR at my friend's house.

Chill, it's still in alpha. It seems that they are still reusing the cars from the old games. If the final product doesn't add any more cars, you can still wait for DLC. ;)
