Brilliant video ha ha I had a Roven once and after five hours of running time allsorts started going wrong. I run the engine in properly with very good oil and even the engine blew up to 20 hours after use. Rear gearbox went, both to servos went and every time I took it out something else broke. Sold it and got a king motor! Tones better

Rovans are great! Their whole line of RC's are perfect... Gotta break it in with some heat cycles tho lol but the 29 and 30.5 are tough as nails an take a beating... Just look out for the shock oils and diff oils sometimes they come a lil low from factory. Great vid bro

Anytime bro! You've helped me out numerous times just watching your channel just lil things I've picked up with others an my own issue with the Rovan baja. I know a few people that had issues with low shock fluid not so much in the diffs but sometimes I've seen videos where they've had low fluid. Mine were underfilled just slightly. But keep the vids coming my friend love to see new stuff.

Nice I had the 30.5cc rovan and it was a beast but it did break the CV driveshaft from not letting off the throttle on a jump but I made hd CV driveshafts and never broke again. Oh and it was freezing outside and I stripped the spur gear once and that was all that ever broke on it .

I'm waiting on parts for a udi 1603 , rear shaft for my sword xxx n1 nitro, my rock crawlers wheel hex fittings, my outcast v2 4s chassis for months now and a new battery as my decided it wanted to identify as a balloon. And my agama is waiting on a rollcage and my rgt 1.16 remote decided it just wanted to die so they'res that now too... morale of the story don't drive like me 😅 and buy something you can repair at your local toolshop/car supplies store ie spark plugs filters oil 😊 that's why I want one I'm entirely sick of having to source parts over seas or at short hour hobby shops whom aren't open when I have free time and or am awake 😅

Great one! I've always loved large scale. My latest is another FG f1 comp car. The one with hydraulic disk brakes. I had a Rovan a couple years ago it was a great car. I just saw they came out with a "shorty" Baja. I want it with their new 45cc engine.

With my experience of engines I know what could cause a runaway! Normally for rc cars to have a runaway is that the throttle would would lock up into its position and keep letting fuel in causing a runaway. Its the same for diesal's if the throttle gets stuck it causes a runaway diesal which is very dangerous for the engine. So I recommend checking the fuel intake to the engine if it feels stiff.

To greatly reduce the high frequency noise from the exhaust, add a short length of thick walled silicon tubing with two nylon zip ties pinching it to about 2/3 I.D. and 10-15mm apart.

I would not recommend because this can cause fumes going back down the exhaust into the engine causing backwards combustion. Trust tried on my TTR 50cc Yamaha pit bike, few months later changed oil and came out blacker than shaq

I owned the 30.5cc version of this, what a heap of garbage.. Bought for like $500 sold for $147 after dumping a new motor in it (stock motor broken in right, had crank play up and down) Replaced motor via rovan warranty, still up and down crank play. Pull starters endlessly break. 8000rpm clutch spring was awesome but melted the plastic spur gears. Many other issues... DO NOT BUY ROVAN clones!

the rear diff cup have a screw that hold a pin in place you need to loctite them they back out and brakes pins the bevel gears ride on and the throttle servo are the only problems i ever had with rovan rc . had mine for 5 or 6 years every thing done to it now obr motor, vrc pipe ,4 wheel hydro brakes , aluminum / nylon parts ,kraken rc cage.

I have an Ofna Titan Twin that has twin 35 cm on nitro supposedly 7hp! I've never used it, I got in a here's a giant box of rc stuff for X amount, type purchase. I finished assembling one, drove it a little bit, and stopped immediately after seeing 👀 some metal shavings from the gear in the clutch bell. I had zero experience with RC's and without a handbook or a Yoda to guide me through RC's I parked everything since 2003. Now I'm thinking about going big and getting a 1/5th scale on gas just because I'm familiar with the engine's. And using my telephone/internet as my guide nowadays! The price of admission into 1/5th scale is painful so I hope it's worth it!...from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 👋🤠

Don't listen to people who say the engine needed breaking in, it doesn't. I've never broken a single one of my engines in.... stock CY and Zen....OBR...ESP..... none of them broken in and all performed like tanks. Plus there's not a single shred of evidence on the ENTIRE INTERNET that proves that not running in your 1/5th engine causes it to fail or perform bad. Some performance tuners like ESP even tell you break in is not required. The original manual for the 23cc Baja also said that break in is not required.

Morning mate. Great to c u try a 1/5 on your Chanel. Cpl things. Run in up to u. Some say do it carelessly others carefully😂. It was free anyway right. More importantly... please fit a remote kill switch! £30 ish. U can then cut it remotely from the transmitter using the 3rd Chanel button. These r known on occasion to runaway and that could cause big damage/ problems. Do not run it without one!!! Get yourself to bashfest! A 2 yearly event held in the Northampton area. Over bank holiday weekends. All scales welcome but predominantly 1/5. If u think that’s loud. I’m more than willing to meet up w u.. or u could meet up w me and the group I bash with. To see 50/65/90 cc versions of that car! Lol enjoyed the vid. 👍
