Bestest drill bits for sheet metal are step bits with a hose clamp to prevent going to the next step bigger then you need

They make this thing called a center punch. Makes it possible to drill a hole where it supposed to be, instead of “winging” it and hoping you’re close.

I believe Nate from Dirt Lifestyle applies JB weld to his nutserts to keep them from slipping or whatever. Probably adds a certain amount of corrosion protection too.

it's crucial to use the nutserts with the knurled backs on the lip. Also using a real nutsert tool instead of a bolt and nuts way of half-ass doing them.

No help now, but you probably should have done two nutserts to completion before drilling any other holes. Hang the slider then drill the rest in the right spot. If you got the bolts in though it's good enough, not gonna fall off.

And use one of those center marking punch deals where the outside diameter is the same as the hole in the slider and it has a little center punch in the middle and you whack it with a hammer and get a perfect centered place to start your hole

Is it useful to dab some paint on those holes before installing the nutserts? Rusty climate was asking ...

Are those panels aluminum or steel? Im going to Run out to my Gladiator and check with a magnet right now...(hold music)...OKAY IM BACK: The quarter forward most quarter panel where the fender gets trimmed is aluminum, all of the body behind that is steel.

Hey Guys Really enjoy the show, Im ready ready to come help, or just ride along passing out "Banquet's" 🤪 Does anyone ever use silicone or some sort of waterproofing between the sliders and the paint/body? Just pulled off my old set of Warn sliders to refresh and I have rust beginning to appear, along with dirt, sand and moisture from all the trails its been on - A lot of trails! 😎

Fred, it may seem stupid but try not to cover the vents on the drill. It'll overheat. Ask me how I know.
