They used to run ray millers old series the national late model sportsman series back in the early 2000's at our home asphault track. Loved watching them on asphault, they would get down.

That's awesome! It was a pretty cool event--I hope they do it again so I can bring my car for it!

In Florida we used to do that every weekend we would run Ocala dirt Friday night and Bronson Saturday night pavement in Michigan we used to do it a lot the Michigan Speedway promoters dirt cars on pavement tracks end dirt tracks

I wonder how many times someone centered that wall coming off of 4 lol ?
@fletcherwulffracingАй бұрын
Surprisingly all the races were pretty clean! I think someone broke a driveshaft during the race and then a car had a tire go down and hit the wall in practice but I think that was it!

Did they require all drivers to have spotters?

Dirt tracks races have multiple grooves and incorporate more thought and strategy.....putting it on asphalt might give more speed, but subtracts too much of what makes a dirt race exciting. Just my opinion.
@fletcherwulffracingАй бұрын
That’s definitely a fair opinion! It was pretty fun to see, but I do prefer dirt cars on dirt at the end of the day!

Too narrow of track for real racing, looks one groove type of track, need everything much wider, 3-4 cars wide.
@fletcherwulffracingАй бұрын
I actually am a pretty big fan of the place even though it is fairly narrow. The late models did wind up being a pretty much 1 lane race
