I love how Kyle says dirt racing is not a step down. I like asphalt better personally but I think NASCAR does need to have at least two or three dirt races a year. It truly completes the diversity of the schedule and reaches another part of NASCARs roots past and present and with how much the racing on dirt has improved at Bristol and how great this years race was, it’s totally worth it IMO.
@TracksideViews Жыл бұрын
While you may feel that way the majority of NASCAR fans and a lot of the people involved prefer not to have any dirt races.
@danielchai6145 Жыл бұрын
@@TracksideViews sure but nascar should have everything. Dirt is the only thing we’d be missing. It’s in our roots. Many many nascar fans go to their local dirt tracks every weekend and love dirt racing. The biggest argument against it is that the cars aren’t made for dirt. Guess what? The cup cars were never made for dirt but that doesn’t mean you can’t race them on dirt. The last two Bristol dirt races, especially this year, were fantastic races. NASCAR can do it at more tracks. Another big argument against it is that nascar is above dirt. And these are the same fans that hate F1 for being elitist. NASCAR is not above dirt. It’s just another type of racing that nascar should do. It’s the national association of stock car auto racing, not the national association of asphalt oval racing. Race stock cars on whatever surface or configuration. They race good everywhere.
@nickphilkill818 Жыл бұрын
@@TracksideViews maybe that stubborn attitude and resistance to change is why nascar has lost half its fanbase over the past 20 years? Also the Bristol dirt race sold more tickets than the spring race from 2016-2019 so your lying.

@@TracksideViews when cable bites the dust and y'all have to stream your races and compete directly with us you will be screwed. Your sport is boring. Stock car racing was once only popular in the south. In the Midwest sprint car racing and IndyCar (champ cars they were called) were king. That could happen again. Its already happening with the world of outlaws which has experienced exponential growth in the past 15 years.

I have been in sprintcar racing for approx. 30yrs, on teams crew chiefing etc, so I have first hand knowledge of the dynamics of the sport. Over the last couple years with the blow up of the sport on streaming platforms I have watched so many videos and VLOGs, I just love it!! This video of Owen winning his first race was so awesome to see!! This is my new favorite video for sure!!
