Now bring back the XR250R, 350R, and 400R with the same air cooled engines with fuel injection and modern CRF plastics. Put the PRO LINK sticker on the swing arm and watch these things be out of stock everywhere. It would bring a lot of people back to the sport.,

The CRF250F has 4 valves and is air cooled... that should really be the new XR. Although it needs adjustable suspension. Honda have lost the plot a bit.

As far as I remember, the XR line were four stroke full on enduro bikes. This most certainly is not that.

This bike is far from an XR. The XR name is reserved for rugged, reliable Honda trail bikes that run forever. The only XR left is the XR650L, and that’s pushing it because of the street legal parts.

I have a 1984 XR350R. Shes in beautiful condition, only needs a few touch ups. Maybe valve seals. Im thinking about just rebuilding the whole top end just so its super fresh. I love that bike

I read somewhere that this is the best selling Honda dual sport in the US now, surpassing the CRF300L. Personally i don't get it. These are even more underpowered than the 300.

Have you ridden a Grom? It’s the kind of fun that’s hard to explain but when you ride one you understand. This XR is a similar experience. People spend too much time focused on power and not enough on the fun factor. Plus it’s dirt cheap, beginner friendly and just fun. We don’t have enough of that in today’s market.

@@JRodSMX yes owned a Grom but quickly got tired of it. Not enough power to get out of traffics way around here. I suspect this XR would be similar. Probably fine on the trails, but it's street legal too, so IMHO it will be disappointing for most once they're riding it on the road. I get it that horsepower isn't everything, but for me I need atleast 35 HP like what a modified DRZ400 has. Anything less and I can't deal with it.

@@churchofbrap876 it’s just a little 150 so these probably aren’t for your needs. They make a good bike for people to learn on or just a second bike to mess around on. Combine that with the affordable price and reliability and that’s what has made them popular. There’s a reason why it’s selling like crazy lol. Especially when spending 10k on a dirt bike is the new standard and not everyone has that kind of money to spend. Making riding more assessable is always a good thing and that’s what these little bikes do. They’re crazy popular outside of the US too.
