Shawn, thanks for the shot of Lion's Back. I remember when it was open . I was heading to Moab before it was shut off, but then I started getting back to back deployments and other tasks in Army. Sad thing of losing access to Lion's Back. We've lost quite a lot of the trails east of Mississippi River.

Hey Shawn! I always hate reading comments where people tell you how to do stuff, and yet here I go. Please remove the bed completely from the truck to finish the welding and redo the body mounts. It'll make the job much easier for you, and you won't have to worry about sparks on the fuel tank and lines. Stay safe, work smart not hard, and God bless you.

Shawn - that truck build is pretty cool. Look up LMC truck parts in Kansas for some of those 60s specific parts for the doors and Cab. Looking forward to seeing the progress.

That had to be a lot of work putting that cab and box on that Tahoe frame. The wiring wouldn't be to hard but for someone who knows nothing it would have them stumped.😂 Luck you are a beast of a mechanic like me 😂. Sometimes i hate working on vehicles thow. Gets old after a while and when parts dont work or come off it sucks. I never would have thought of what you did to that cab putting it osn the frame like that. Awesome job Brother

for your fuel filler...... You could cut bottom off a vintage can or box of some sort. Make it a removable mount in bed where you want fuel neck sticking up. Lift the vintage thing out of way to fill up with fuel. Or cut out the side that would face the tail gate.. when you put the gate down.... it exposes that open end where your fuel filler is. ??
@coachgeo6 ай бұрын
bwahahahah..... few minutes later in video you show that this is basically exactly what you plan to do with an old GI can. Like minds I guess.

I'd hate for your brand new lexsan kevlar whichever you used windshield to break I know that those things are nice and sturdy looking which also means that they when they flex up and down on a Bumpy road they're gonna crack the window so you might want to make another kind of bracket or put some sort of teflon bushing in between the glass and the bracket
