How well it sells will dictate if other manufacturers follow suite. As a firm believer in using the correct tool for the job, I’m having a hard time figuring out what job to use this tool for, over say, a Ford Bronco or Jeep Wrangler. It’s not any cheaper, it isn’t any faster, and doesn’t have the street ability, doesn’t have the suspension of the sport SxS to rip through dunes.

I own one of these and a new fully loaded 1500 ranger xd. The expedition was 44k out the door. Top of the line most expensive model. Adv 5. The ranger was 52k. The expedition is no where near most expensive Polaris sxs. I love both but I like the xpedition a lot better. The ranger is for work. Period. Yes it’s a 1500 but it’s slow af. Clutching on both 100% changes the ride. The factory clutching is terrible. Aside from that these are both incredible vehicles.

As into this as you are, you have to do a complete comparison with the Ranger XD 1500 Northstar. Somehow, it has to be done! Save me the hours of researching online. I think, though, the dry weight for the XD 1500 Northstar is 3,323 lbs. There’s a helluva lot of info online but it’s difficult to know what’s actually factual information. Get ‘er done; you guys can do it. Go rent a fully spec’d out XD 1500 and get ‘er done.

In terms of having a 'cruiser' I don't think you can go wrong with these Expeditions. Looks way comfier than the Northstar Rangers, better suspension for when you get a little frisky and aren't really that much different in price.

For what they're charging, it should absolutely come with all the mirrors. They should probably throw a street legal kit on it as well. I can see it being very popular on the roads up in the UP since s lot of trails don't connect up there. Fit and finish has always been pretty poor with Polaris.

Just wait until you change the oil the first time. Its nearly impossible to get to the oil filter. I have a 24 expedition and i have to pull the skid plate to get to the oil filter. I hate the high rpms it always turned as well. I did a full bikeman clutch kit and stock turbo r 32s and turbo r wheels. It dropped the cruising rpm by 2000rpm.

Why are the air intake vents so high, if the actual airbox is mounted next to the wheel? That seems really low for it. I like the looks of the ADV. Don't think this would be a good purchase. I don't know how much these are, but seems like you could buy a 4x4 pickup, and a camper shell, and be street legal.
