The car does rip, need to loose a little weight on the clutching to get rpm up. U still on the ultimax belt?
@dirtdudes3 жыл бұрын
Definitely need to lose some weight, we’ll be ready for the next race. He’s still running the Ultimax belt but the extra thickness is making the secondary spin to quick while stopped. Probably switch back to OEM or shim it differently
@kwmiked3 жыл бұрын
I was gonna ask that, snowmobile clutching is a little different, itll squeal the belt if to thick since secondary is directly hooked. But the thickness will let belt push to top of primary and you'll get a little extra topend, u should try the stock belt and maybe even another brand, just to see where the rpm tops out before adjusting anything
@kwmiked3 жыл бұрын
@@dirtdudes I've had best luck with the Gates belts on the sleds, but the sizes very, usually ill buy 4 keep 2 and send other 2 back. My buddy has a track dyno so we've done a bunch of clutch testing

Perhaps you didn't realize you where watching a channel with "dudes" in the name. I have no doubt Zack is professional in his 9-5. But on here there work is highly energetic and entertaining, that's why you come here the same as the rest of us. Just enjoy them just as they are, without the need to make them like you. I'm certain you're a great guy and awesome at what you do. However, I assure you that if you made a video in this exact genre it would be boring. If you think otherwise make a video and see for yourself.

@@dirtdudes but once he’s up in the top rpms then is it really about being able to accelerate? Was figuring it might help him catch the x3’s that were pulling on him. They seemed to be running 30’s+
@qtrmilemalone3 жыл бұрын
@@A1UTV you still want the shorter tires, even with the shorter tires you'll have enough top end, the torque through the corners is more important. All the big racers at the Iceman 500 are running under 30's

Stage 3 AA tune is a joke. I did the full stage 3 upgrade. Clutch, exhaust, wastegate, BOV, intercooler and catch can and it basically rides the same as stock just the speed regulator is gone. My buddy and I both have 21 pro xp RZRs and when we drag race we stay bumper to bumper until he hits the regulator and then he slows down. Definitely a waste of money
@dirtdudes3 жыл бұрын
Are you sure you got your clutch set up right?
@sxshethean30693 жыл бұрын
I’ve done a lot of testing with different weights and still such a minimal difference. Got my rpm up to 9100 at 95mph which was nice but getting to that speed was identical to stock. Stock just has the speed limiter

@dirtdudes3 жыл бұрын
The little tires work great for ice racing, we needed to set up his clutch weights a little different. Wasn’t getting nearly the RPM’s he needed. When we did the iceman last year basically everyone was running small tires
