Wet the area where you want the sticker with window cleaner, place the sticker. You can move it around to position it then squeegee it center out. No bubbles “perfect” application every time

Looks like that you got a good skid steer . It seemed to handle really well, it sure did a great job packing that one big log . Sometimes bigger is not always better, so I think that this little machine is going to work out perfect for you all . I will see you all later in another video, so take care and stay safe out there working . 🤗👍❤️💫

A+++ on the Taco Acquisition! It's hard to get just what you need in Equipment and getting it just when you needed it the most, That was pure luck. Pre-Emissions is a bonus in my mind and glad to see it as part of the fleet. Hoping to see 1 more piece of the puzzle set in place as far as Excavator is concerned and I'm rooting on the 210, I know you put a lot of thought into your decisions and I can't wait till you sort it out, till then Keep up the good work Guy's and I'll be here to watch and learn. 😀

A suggestion, Mr. D.P., if you please; yank out the seat and add 2-3 inches to the base and re-install it. Just like the sight picture on a firearm, any change in viewing from the rear "sight" results in much more change in your view. Just try it with good cushion and see if the view you have of your attachments isn't much better. If it works, tell Aron the change was an ACCOMODATION JUST FOR HIM, much like the little step stool on Bubba Dump!!!

I run a Truax no-till grain drill on the front of my Deere 333E, for food plot and pasture renovation planting, and one of the issues is that during transport through tight areas it gets hard to see where you’re going. I think this elevated seat idea is just the solution I’m looking for.

I have the 2010 TL 230 with a Kubota engine. The older Takeuchi's with Kubotas are sound only because the Obama package hadn't been mandated yet. 3700 hours on it now. I have done a complete undercarriage with new belts, and I have a drive motor going out. I have a replacement, but they are not side specific. That means the motor I take off can be rebuilt for future failures. Good luck with your new machine. Cheers.

Hello Mike, there may be a simple, quick and cheap way to add 4" of length to the hydraulic lines. Look @ time stamp 15:28, the hydraulic lines come through a 3" pipe. If you take a pipe cutter and cut off the top 4" of the pipe, split it and you should gain 3 to 4" of extra length on your hydraulic lines going to the Takeuchi. Cheers

Hey Mike, it feels funny to mention this but I can only assume you can get Limestone in your area which IMHO works Awesome on steep driveways that wash out when it rains. Used the limestone on my very steep driveway and turned into almost Concrete my friend. Doesn't wash out once it dries out and is very nice looking. Again IMHO. Hope this helps your customer fix the driveway for good..

Congrats on the 240 Mike! I've had a 2012 tl240 for 4 years and wouldn't trade it for anything, the things a horse. Gambled on it and got it cheap at Richie Bros and have zero regrets. Just rolled over 4,900hrs and haven't done anything but basic maintenance. I extended the hoses on my brush grapple and fed them in the inside of the left lift arm between the tilt cylinder and step, I don't get them hung up on things as much. Good luck with yours!

My Uncle was a small engine mechanic, for a park in Alberta. They ran all John Deere equipment. Well some bureaucrat decided to switch the fleet over to Kubota, got all new Kubota's and got rid of the Deere's. Well a year later and they had to double the size of their mechanic team to deal with all the break downs.

Hey Chris, watch the rollers on that roll up door. Had one jump off the track last summer the guide pin got in behind the track and kept a guy trapped inside for 4 hours before Sunbelt to get out there and get it up. Once there still took him an hour to get the guy out. If there had been a fire it would have ended badly. The Sunbelt guy said he replaces the rollers about once a year to prevent that but the other guys in the shop just sends them out. Just something to keep an eye on as many fires as you dig around in.

I watched your podcast on buying equipment yesterday evening. This machine does not fit in your description of research before investing. However, you got an offer from a dealer you trust and that relationship has build over time. Taking the risk of buying is a lot less and with a machine down you need to take a decision. Well done sir!

Hey Mike you didn’t go wrong with the the Takeuchi they are amazing machines the only thing I found that’s hard to get use to is when your grading you have to bump up the main boom ever so slightly to get the bucket to lay flat on the ground. Also the squealing belt is for the fan my step father has a 230 and it did the same thing until I got in their and tighten the fan belt and it went away!! Just a heads up if it ties when in us and just dies like it’s running out of fuel, go to the fuel cap and take the rubber gasket out of it. We had that problem and did that and it never does it again and runs like a new one!!

On the new skidsteer: - All the best with it! :-) - Those hydraulic leads of the grapple: how about putting soft rings on the ends of the vertical pipe that they come through? I mean some thick rings that prevent those leads from continuously being slammed against the rims of the pipe, likely shortening their life. - Sight lines: you could consider a camera or a mere mirror to be mounted (clamped?) on the upper edge of the coupler (or whatever the thing is called), in order to let you see what you want to see. Using some contrasting paint at spots you need to see may add to that help.

That TL is a mighty little beast, as you say it's a good purchase, the way Matt was moving those logs around you could see it was punching well above it's weight. One thing about having large burn piles, even if its raining the heat will keep you warm and it won't take long to dry you out as soon as it stops raining.

Mikey, congrats on getting the Koochie! Brandon (Elite Earthworks) has the same model. His is a year or two older and has over 10,000 hours on it. It rarely has any problems… aside from normal wear and tear. The panel on the lower right rear is for changing the oil filter. Brandon’s machine doesn’t have it. That is the only thing he complains about when doing maintenance. Is your machine’s front hydraulic set up with both high and low flow? Perhaps Taco will change your mind about the usefulness of having a skid steer!

He has the same problem that I do. The Wooden Horn of Plenty syndrome. It pains me to see good hardwood go to waste. However, there are far more logs than there are uses. I have over 100 standing dead oak and hickory trees in my mature 10 acre woods. Some are lumber quality. Most are good for firewood. If I cut it up and pile the rounds by the road with a ‘Free’ sign on them. People stop and tell me they want them. I tell them it is ‘first come - first serve’… they say OK, I’ll be back. The wood will rot before it disappears. And the lumber quality logs… no one will take them… even if I offer to load them. “Why?”, you ask. Well, we live in an area where there are numerous hardwood forests that need thinned or dead cleared. There are few firewood processors because most people cut their own and have access to copious amounts of timber. There is a glut of hardwood at the sawmills. The price you get is well below the cost to haul a small load. In the end… I’ll lose another 20 - 25 trees this year. That’ll replace the amount that I process for my own needs. So, I’ll still have 100 dead trees. Because they rarely stand three years after death…. They’ll end up being composted on the forest floor or burnt in piles. It pains me to see it but… because time and money doesn’t cooperate with Mother Nature… that’s how it works.

@@russellsmith3825 yeah, that’s a tough break. We consider those as trash trees. I have seen them sawn for structural and pallet lumber. And, if you get them good and seasoned they burn well for firewood. I just found one last month about 6” diameter. I’ll cut it this winter. I fight elm, mulberry and hackberry constantly… they will take over! I’m blessed to have oak, hickory, black walnut and black cherry. I understand your point.

I have a 2006 TL250. Has 4000 hrs on it. Has the Kubota engine. Never had any engine problems. Maybe I am lucky. I had a 2011 Bobcat E80 for a while. It had a Yanmar engine. Had engine problems with it. Maybe I was unlucky. The Takeuchi is a great machine. Power and controlability (pilot vs electric) is exceptional. I do have 1 issue though and I expect it is particular to my machine. When I go in reverse and then let my hand off of the joy stick, the machine will slightly twist to the right. I'm used to it so I anticipate it. I think you'll find your 240 a very tough machine. THey do ride a bit rougher though.

I’ve yet to find any that don’t beat the ever living crap out of you when operating on rough terrain.
