The value of the charters should be understood by the fact that two of the current charter holders seem ready to walk away from them entirely.

To summarize… This whole “charter” thing appears to be nothing more than a huge gamble with hopes of at some point hitting it big based on a long list of unknowns. Sounds similar to walking into the high limit room at the casino with a fist full of hundreds.

Charter this! Just race and pay out as much money as the fan attendance and sponsorship allows! And race at some more tracks in Texas where there are a lot of fans to attract!

I’m confident that Sweet and Larsen mean well. But it just really sounds to me like a fist full of dreams. It’ll be years before these charters are worth anything if ever. I think the series has a chance, but they may need to take a look at the charter part. Thanks Justin!

Charters sound like a great strategic plan but at the end of the day with the Outlaw competition I do not see the cash flow to cover teams costs or turn a profit.

Hartlaub was actually meshing well with that team seemingly, but here we are again, a good promising young driver, this time actually showing speed in your car, and suddenly it's open again lol. If this doesn't 100% absolutely point to a car chief problem, then nothing will. Either retire the car, or replace the car chief.

@terrygarvin1980 it could be anything. The heavily rumored issue with the car is the car chief effectively does things his way and that's it.

With Flo as a part owner of the series, how do we know the media rights is a "fair value". Will there be open bidding for the rights that RacingAmerica, dirtvison (lol) or any other media entity can partake in? Or do we have to trust Flo and high limit that the media rights are really the media rights and not just conveniently enough to keep the teams happy.

Possible show subjections. With record high purses it would interesting to see where these funds come from. Track owners, Series owners, Media rights, sponsors, or a combination all of the above

Charters, All about the series and teams. Teams need revenue to go up and down the road. As a fan, as long as the teams increase their revenue. Race across the country. Put on a good show. That is all I buy tickets for and watch via subscription. For those whingey Track owners, I have plans to visit a new track out of state and maybe two. So watching via a subscription entices me to go see new tracks. Nothing like live racing.

Try to get to Indiana. The ticket prices are reasonable and awesome races. I went out to Midget Week and we had a blast. Saw a car Museum in Lawrenceburg,2 State Parks and a Indian Reservation Museum in between track travels. Got to visit a couple of towns too. Kokomo has the Smackdown in August and you can get 3 nights with pit passes for under 100.00

Brad and Kyle shouldnt make promises, award charters even, if the system and progress arent on paper for all to see. To have a team run a dedicated schedule for 2 seasons on the promise of future money is a pipe dream. Flo needs to fiinally open their books and show the racers what a revenue share would really be. Otherwise High limit is gonna fade quickly. At least the outlaws have a structure that is reliable and tested.

Am I missin' something here? Am I wrong in thinking this might be putting cart before the horse? I'm still thinking High Limit is still in the proving itself stage. High Limit had a pretty good season but it still lacks the stature and "umph" of the Outlaws. At this point, I don't see this charter deal going anywhere. The number of teams who will commit to High Limit long term to where a charter might make sense is what, maybe a handful. At that point, what is the point?

2 0f the top 5 teams not coming back. 3 other 100% participants this year are gone. 14 racetracks that they went to last year are not on the schedule this year. Sounds like a profit issue on both sides. 2 west coast swings..... Seems like they are more worried about racing on the west coast where the owners and their buddies are from. Maybe I just don't understand.

Im not a racer, just a fan. But I cannot believe the amount of negativity these comments sections have towards anything that pertains to the opportunity to expand the money flow and make it more profitable. I get it, Brad and Kyle's goals may be far fetched, but if it pans out...even be it 8 years from now, teams won't be forced to expect a driver to provide 1/5th of the operational funds right off the street. But I digress.
@RacingVagabond8 сағат бұрын
More money for teams is of course a good thing, however it's not like there is a flood of corporate sponsors looking to get involved so that money has to come from somewhere else and pretty much all of those "somewhere else's" involve fan's wallets. Also, it doesn't matter how it all pans out, a driver bringing funding will 9/10 times get priority over one that doesn't.
