Tyler Reddick and Justin Allgaier are two examples of drivers that didn't have national success in dirt racing but had the funding to get seats in NASCAR and had more success there than they could have ever dreamed of in big league dirt racing. Allgaier had some local/regional success but nothing on the national stage. Reddick even had Bloomer mentoring him (because his grandpa could write the check) and only managed one nationally touring series win at a rubbered up East Bay and he raced late models full time for six years.

@bobbyhood3109 Bloomquist saw Reddick's grandpa's checkbook. Reddick was so determined that he was lap traffic 80% of the time he raced lm's.

Blue collar workers can not afford the equipment and connections to give them enough of a chance to gain a big time ride with a big-time team by showing their capabilities. The industry has become nothing but who's got the money to run and to run the best equipment and hire the best minds to set up their cars. There may be a few here and there that do it but those are a very few. The local 410 guys though they have given the national level teams a run for their money here and there it's just not that easy because they don't have deep pockets. I think the only way they could potentially compete for top rides is cap the amount teams can request for rent a rides so it gives others a fighting chance to pay for one. We all know they cannot bring the cost down to try and level the playing field because that was already attempted with different race saver series basically limiting the cost to run and run competitively. It also limited teams to compete at the national level if they wanted to. Because then they would still need deep pockets for motors they use sparingly when the national series come to town. Unfortunately the industry basically eliminates chances for drivers who have the abilities but not the funding to compete. Maybe they could talk big teams in the different series into doing regional all stars races when they come to town where they help sponsor a top local racer in one of their rides. Essentially giving them some face time to prove their abilities and hopefully opening doors for them down the road. Problem is we know that won't happen either.

The question is who are check cashers and their disdain for winners? No matter what class there are drivers out there who have shit loads of potential and never get called. Nor do they want to drive a shit box just to make nascar. Look at the ruined careers of shit box drivers.
