Bad spot for the intake, for one thing its going to injest water spraying forward off the front tire, but more importantly with the way its possitioned its actually sitting in an area of naturally low pressure and being angled like that relative to airflow the venturi effect is going to create even lower pressure inside the intake. It should be relocated pointing forward in the middle of the flattest spot that can be found to create as much pressure as possible. Sick build though, the purple looks great.

Series I-III, XJ-40, X-300, X-308...they aren't the same chassis from the '70's. When Ford bought them, they chucked the surplus WWII production line and modernized the whole she-bang

Same man. Noone puts any love into the 4.2. Maybe a handful of guys in England. They have SO much potential (700hp+ on basically stock motor) with a twin-screw or turbos. It's just that everything needs to be bespoke and parts are hard to find. I'm getting an x358 soon and will be pouring money into it. The world has to see what these are capable of.

DB7 was XJS platform, X300 was basically XJ40 which came out in '86. They're all variations on a very similar theme though.

Nah. Ford owned both jag and aston at the time. The platform you mentioned was the XJ-S platform. *_THAT_* was/is the XKE successor. *_not_* the db7. The db7 was simply based on the jag chassis

It’s too bad the owner had to install that aftermarket tach. It really detracts from the appeal of the interior. BTW Jeremy Clarkson would complain bitterly about what he called the “American” pronunciation “Jag-wire” vs the British “Jag-you-are”.
