I didn't need any medication to lose weight. I did it by eating smaller portions, cutting out cakes and biscuits, and not eating after 6 pm, drinking more water, and moving more. I lost 5 stones since February this year.

'Ozempic' can be linked to sightloss, pancreatitis, hypoglycemia, kidney failure, gallbladder problems, and incontinence.Ozempic was originally produced to treat type 2 diabetes, but only under prescription and supervision from a doctor.Who knows exactly the long term consequences to people that people take Ozempic over the counter for weight loss.

All drugs come with side effects. You should only take them if the benefits outweigh the side effects. In the case of weight loss, there are better safer ways to do it.

I've been told I could do with losing a bit of weight, _[Alright, maybe allot]_ but when this _'easy fix'_ was suggested I was immediately reminded of the issues that followed _'the Covid jab' ... and so the olde adage of: __*_"If it seems too good to be true, it probably is"._* I think that many are finally coming to the conclusion that as with regards to the pharmaceutical companies, profits always come before the health of the patient, always.

I have well controlled type 2 diabetes and recently received an Invitation to become part of a blind test for an Ozempic like tablet,I'd be taking it for 5 years I would be given the tablets, not knowing if it was the weight loss tablet or a placebo, I would then be surveyed and checked twice a year. No chance,

We have reached such decadence that obesity has because the major medical condition affecting us and we turn to medications and surgery to control it. In the not to distant past malnutrition was common and much of the world still doesn't have enough to eat.

You’ve had 30+ yrs to have implemented what every doctor has been telling you, alison love. Funny how, now that GLP-1 injections are available, you’ve magically been able to lose weight.

I've been taking something simular for about 4 months now. It is important to note this is powerful medication and not to be taken lightly and especially not to be taken just to shed a few pounds. This medication also isn't a substitute for healthy eating or life styles but more of a tool to help encourage the change for those struggling with obesity. Myself, I work ridiculous shifts with call outs and have 4 children at home, unfortunately a permanent gym routine isn't much of an option however, I have cut out and substituted carbs, fats and sugars. I substitute with sweet potato, chickpea pasta etc.. no fried foods, no sugary foods or snacks, no jar sauces because the sugar in those is horrendous and I make everything fresh and freeze it. I'm more active than I have ever been and it is thanks to this medication. Now this isn't to say i haven't had side effects, yes the fatigue can be pretty bad and so can the constipation and heart burn but it is managed by diet on the most part. This medication isn't for everyone and isn't a magic fix, unless you embrace a significant life style change the side effects will be more severe but due to the abuse of this drug by celebrities and their ridiculous endorsements, most just focus on the negatives of this drug

If the people who condemn Ozempic etc, have never struggled with weightloss, they have no credibility in the discussion. The mental “addiction” to food as comfort is strong and getting stronger in people all over the world. The world is becoming more obese every year so conventional methods are failing. This drug, which I have taken, is a game changer. If people choose the drug, aware of the side effects (and people start on a very small dose to minimize the effects of side effects) then it is a choice. Why doesn’t anyone condemn the choice to overeat? Why doesn’t anybody condemn the millions of diabetes deaths?

Whilst taking this drug, I went for an eye test and when my left eye was scanned they found a yellow blob in my eye. They said to come back in six months and we will check it again.I had to stop taking the diet meds soon after as the increased dose made me ill when I went back to have my eyes checked the blob had gone, Strange.

I’ve known older people who were on this for diabetes. Suddenly everyone in Hollywood was on it. Insanity. The people who needed it had the “can’t leave the bathroom issues” but it was being effective in lowering the A1C thing. I sat nights with older folks for awhile. I’m not a nurse I just came and helped with household chores and things a bit too difficult for them to do.

Nobody seemed to notice that BMI thresholds were lowered in 1999 to make out that more people were overweight and obese. Nobody seems to know that "overweight" people and even people on the lower end of "obese" are statistically likely to live LONGER than those with "normal" BMI. Sure significantly obese people do have bad health outcomes I do not deny that, but I also know that it's been exaggerated, being overweight has become far more demonized in the last few years. People barely ever think or look at images from say beaches in the 1920s to realize people weren't all skinny ever, and there are a wide variety of genes and body shapes. I'm quite skeptical of the so-called "obesity epidemic". The word "obesity" in itself means "has eaten oneself fat" therefore it's actually a slur against people in larger sized bodies. Sure food should be better and not toxic waste, but poor people on budgets end up eating crap because it's cheap. Chips are cheaper than salad after all, and with inflation and cutbacks, ingredients deteriorate and more artificial garbage added. I was bullied at school for having a morbidly obese mum who suffered far more from mental health problems because of how others treated her than physical health problems. Albeit she suffers from many health problems now, including diabetes and complications with that, but she is 70 years old. Just adding my two pence because not enough is said about this. And people across the political spectrum all seem anti obesity, it's like the one thing left people are free to bully others about.
