I love how Nepo purposely opened the B file and still attacked his opponent first in opposite side castling scenarios!!!

That’s awesome. It will never work for me, though, because my opponents do stupider moves that seem to work better. 😀

So true. That leaves no other option than to study harder to reach the level where you opponent plays the optimal theoretical moves and you can break the theory at the right moment.

Hello, can you please make one such video on "Evan's Gambit" from white's perspective?

I have not found also this final movement of Rh-g4, so I would be playing like GM Nepo.

And that's what distinguishes hyper accelerated dragon (HAD) from accelerated dragon. The same position at 3:10 is reached in HAD but black to play now. That's actually good for black ..covered so good in kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZrZgn2GqdarZ8k This is because black did not lose tempo by directly playing d5 in 1 move.

Exactly. The reason why there are so few games of this in the data base is because black played so many sub par moves to get that position.
@ravenlord4

@@GJChess The point is that playing d5 (after playing d6) is just plain bad, especially here. Black has no business wasting a tempo and opening up the position when behind in development. The red flag is that white has wasted no moves, and giving him yet another free one in an open game is just begging for punishment. Black should be looking at ideas like Bd7 and then maybe Rc8 (trying to catch up in development) before lashing out. As it is, Black gets crushed here and deservedly so, because he was playing without QB (and pretty much his QR) for the whole game.

@@ravenlord4 Actually, d5 is the theoretical 10th move in the normal dragon. If you play other moves, then you're just asking to get crushed with g4. h5 is probably the only 10th move that does not run into an immediate g4
@ravenlord4
@ravenlord4 3 жыл бұрын
@@resonance4789 Sure, because then black is getting in 9...Bd7 first. That makes a big difference.

@@ravenlord4 9. ...Bd7 10. 0-0-0 Nc6 11. g4 is better for White

Very nice sir, I always like practical tricks that can be applied in games rather than some fancy sac lines.

The position after 11. Lh6 is known for several decades. The right riposte for black is 11....Lb7.
