Look up "Tough Hook" hangers. They're made in Montana. Plastic, but molded in an I-beam configuration and super heavy duty. They hold plate carriers of any weight and all kinds of other heavy/awkward gear. Affordable as well!!!

People make this way too complicated. Teach kids about guns from the time before they can walk. If they can understand language, they can learn about gun safety. Hiding them makes them taboo and extremely interesting. Kids who grow up from infancy seeing guns and understanding they are not toys, will treat them with the proper respect they deserve.

Had a micro lesson in this kind of stuff a few months back. I went to the range with my family and while we were waiting for our bays to open I was browsing and checking out a canik and as I racked the slide my fingers slipped and the sights caught my knuckles on two of my fingers and cut me. I started bleeding pretty good, but didn't have a boo-boo kit on me. I had full trauma kit, but no bandaids. Had to ask the employees for some. Now I carry bandaids with my medical, lol.

Another perfectly timed video for my life and where I am at in my preps! 100% on point for me. 1- I need a better rotation of batteries in equipment/sights and rotate charging my rechargeable equipment (see more below) 2- need to organize for easy accessibility for much of my equipment, rather than all stuff in bins with a note pad telling me what is where things are. I went from unorganized, scattered piles throughout my apartment to bins with a list. Your bin drawer method is better! -about charging electronics. My girl was in my car and didn't know she turned my lights on, long story but my battery died. My jumper battery was dead (we found out). This happened 1 month ago and I began charging everything! Thermals, night vision backup battery... everything! What good is having it and not being able to use it (or not know how to use it)? -no good! I built preps to be prepared, but then the simple thing of having a dead battery pack charger is like why even have the thing to begin with. Or, having the thing but not being able to access it as needed-not good. I love your channel! I wish you guys were my close friends, but regardless, I'm thankful for your hard work and inspiration. Neat thing to look into since you went on about the printer, it's actually a good thing to look into what works best for you and while I know the majority of us would like to stay one the right side of the law for a long time worldwide printers have been essentially signing all your prints with your identity and so it could be worth looking into that and what older options are available for your set up if that sort of thing interests you.

The drink tube mouth piece could be secured with some gaffers tape so if the detach clip is activated it will remain attached. Lost one in game. Having a back up is a good idea. Draw style cubbies are great for quick access as seen. Clear plastic totes side locking and the larger black totes with yellow lids are also great and stackable for moving heavy and weird shaped items or boxes. HDEX adjustable height shelves may be something to consider in general. A desk with working surface will save the back or if you are on the ground a lot a sit pad reduces the chance for legs to fall asleep. Reasonable sized gym bags are great to use as temp gear storage. The amount of time it took to organize and keep this way cannot be underestimated. Well done!

The intro speaks to one of my biggest annoyances with chest rigs and plate carriers, which is a lack of any standard. We could all work with an 80% solution where items 1, 2, and 3 are placed at x, y, and z. You get 2 free pouches for your specific larping needs but the rest is SOP. Would make a lot of things easier.

At 18:00 minutes you say you don’t want your house to burn then open a drawer full of gas canisters. Some advice from a gas fitter… If you are storing butane/propane indoors you should find a threaded cap for the bottle to seal it and store it in a cupboard at low level with a drop out vent in the cupboard to external atmosphere and one at the lowest point in the room both fitted in the floor or through a wall at floor level All LPG gases are heavier than air so will sink to the floor and accumulate in the lowest point. And importantly “Never”store it in a basement. It is amazing the damage a small bottle of gas can do to a building. I have seen a brick building severely damaged from a 500 gram bottle of butane. I am not trying to sound like a dick but all the little bits of information we can learn add up. Great video and great channel tho you earned a new subscriber.

About the printer, not sure what printer that is, but I got an Epson Tank printer and it was the best printer decision ever! I was in nursing school at the time and wife is a school teacher, so needless to say, we printed A LOT! The tank printer, you fill with bottles of ink. The ink is cheap and you can get pretty big bottles. If you used a yon of black, you dont have to get a new cartridge with all the colors and waste ink you never used, you just fill the color that you need. There are 4 colors required and it can print anything. Black, blue, yellow and red, and its good to go! If you print alot, try this out, you will thank me!

D.I.Y. plate carrier hanger. I made mine out of a 20" piece of 1" I.D. PVC and a lag screw hook. It's just a straight bar with a hook in it. Really easy, really cheap. I had to bend the hook back a little bit so it would hang straight but otherwise it was really easy. It works great as long as you keep the weight centered. All you have to do is cut your PVC to length (probably doesn't have to be quite 20". Mine was already cut to that length I didn't bother to shorten it) find the center drill a pilot hole, slightly smaller diameter then your hook, screw in your heavy duty hook (lag screw type hook) bend the hook open slightly if needed. I hung it on a bar and bent it until it hung level-ish. It has worked great for several years. If you wanted to get "fancy" you could cut the PVC short slightly longer than then the width of the shoulder straps, and glue some 90 degree elbows on the ends facing up. That would keep the shoulder straps from slipping off, or just cut it long like I did. So when hanging the straps can't reach the ends.

Extra winter gear, food, and heat options in my car incase my engine goes in -40 winters. what food and water do I have at home when we have a blizzard where I cant get to a grocery store. while the possibility of unrest is something I am starting to prepare for. it all started with being prepared incase the weather knocked out basic necessities or I had to pull over and help a buddy who got stuck on the way to work

I manage my stache with and electric trimmer, a cheap comb and some hair cutting scissors. Works pretty well. I use the trimmers to keep everything the overall length I want, I comb down the hair and cut just where it meets my upper lip using the scissors.

For the bins you can build a rack using 2x4s and a 1x3s that they slide into i built one in my garage for the black and yellow totes you get at lowes. For patch panels you can buy felt at the fabric store for cheap its far cheaper than velcro but it works.

I try to put stuff in the same spot when u get home. The exception is my keys. Sometimes they end up in the closet upstairs, sometimes on the kitchen counter and occasionally i leave them hanging in the ignition

I definitely try to keep a weekly tab on my gear and try to use at least one item to maintain proficiency with those items (fire steels, foldable stoves, emergency shelters, etc.) I have most of the items i would like to have and a couple i'm gonna acquire soon. I have everything generally set up and ready to grab at a moments notice for at least 2 days and i generally have extra stuff in my SUV like snacks and stuff to drink as well as extra clothes, shelter and medical. I'm by no means perfect in my setup but i do my best to check my gear, reassess and do some drills like getting off the couch grabbing the stuff, loading up and getting in the car in record time. Its a bit more complicated with small children and an infant but my wife and i try to do our best

I can't remember if you mentioned it. With the med pouch, if the contents are inside an additional pouch/sleeve, tie it to your kit with a length of paracord. That way if you have to move in a hurry (or if your oppo has to move you) your kit is retained without having to try and secure it all. I usually run about 6ft. Its enough to self treat, but not so long you spend all day trying to untangle a mess to use it.

Ive only got one plate carrier set up so i built an armor tree like I had in afghanland 3d printed an mlok weapons mount to screw into the side. Keeps my full kit and rifle within arms reach and still off the floor.

the Heavy duty black bins work well but if you get clear ones, you can see what is in there better. I'm not sure if you can find very durable clear ones but with my experience, they help a lot

Helpful. It's super easy to get hung up in what you "could" bring and not leave room for what you should bring. And then there's weight to consider. Having every tool for every job doesn't matter if your kit weighs 300 pounds and puts you on the ground.

Marksmanship Video needed. I am new to shooting, and so i wanted to know, “how accurate do I need to be with a handgun to be considered adequate or even above average.” My online search led me to the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program. Being able to track my progress has made practicing at the range more fun. After 1000 rounds, I have made it through the “Marksman” level and am now working on the “Sharpshooter” targets. Unfortunately, there are no KZbin videos about this program. I think you would be the perfect person to spread the news. Maybe you can even get the NRA to sponsor you.

Goals are progressive. You should be a better. It doesn't matter if youre the best in the world, you should be a bit better. Set your goals to cut a second or half second off your times for each drill at each range. I reccomend for handgun training at 7 yards, 15 yards, 25 yards, and 50 yards
