I was walking one once, when I was a kid, and a doe jumped up in front of me in some thick brush and ran. I don't know why, but I had that feeling I wasn't alone. I looked straight up and saw someone sitting in a tree stand, in camo, with a bow. This wasn't in the suburbs, we were in the city. Think "Pleasantville". He didn't say anything and neither did I. I just kept walking like I didn't see anything. He might have lost his prey, but I didn't rat on him either, so, fair trade.

I literally busted out laughing at the "slammed him into the table" story. When my sister and I were kids we used to "wrestle" with my dad which mostly involved him flipping us around gently on the big mattress and us pushing him over. One time he pulled my sister's arm the wrong way and hurt her, to the point where they took her to the ER. 😸 My dad would say to the doctor "We were wrestling and I think I dislocated her shoulder by accident." The looks from the doctors were hilarious, and my mom would just look at them like "Yes, this is the truth, he's not beating us or anything." They thought her shoulder was broken but for some reason the X-ray tech had never heard of growth plates before (I honestly have no idea why they didn't understand that, I learned it in anatomy 202) and it turned out she was completely fine and just had a sprained shoulder. It literally looked like my dad had been throwing us against a wall and ripped my sister's shoulder out of place and I bet if this was today instead of 20+ years ago CPS would have interviewed us at home. 😹😹😹😹😹😹 I miss my dad. :( 1960-2016. Don't smoke tobacco.
