I think its really mature and sincere of jonah to stay silent at the end, even professionals tend to try and sing notes which they can not sing at the very moment, so they fail miserably. These guys dont have anything to prove about their abilities, so why make a perfect composition sound bad because of a few bad notes? And dont tell me that unexpected silence sounded (or felt maybe) bad, almost everything these guys do is about unexpected things and sudden silence was a nice touch after all.
@Dellerss5 жыл бұрын
I agree. Some things you can do in a studio can't be done easily live, which is ok. Makes studio versions special too. I have done notes both lower and higher than my usual range on recordings. I normally can't do a B1 or F#5 easily, yet have both recorded. I'm not really a singer though, but I do write some music which needs vocals.

First of all, I appreciatre very much Dirty Loops, the energy, the virtuisity, the creativity. If there is no doubt that their usual covers and original songs are not played Live in their videos, It semms that there is very few musician on that stage in comparison with the instruments we hear... for example : the part from 1'07, when Jonah just sings, handling his mike. We can hear at least 2 différent keyboard parts (while the keyboardist plays only one keyboard) PLUS some mute guitar, without any guitarist !!!???

I saw JT live (which was a fabulous show) a few months back and while he does an amazing job singing live, there were multiple songs throughout the night that he sang next to nothing on. His back up singers covered a lot for him, which was totally awesome and completely legit in my eyes. During Mirrors he sang maybe 10% of the time cause his voice was totally drained from the length of the show. But he owns the show! Just like Jonah did last night in SF. Go DirtyLoops!
