QOFY Gang, you’ve got heart and soul, this reaction was pure gold! Your face at 1:46 lol! and at 1:53 I can see you thinking: ‘where’s that door again, man?’ 😂😅🤣 Also, love all those stabs, they make almost fall out of your chair LOL! I think you’re not the only singer who feels ‘violated’ by Jonah’s vocals. How can someone’s range and control be so insane! And I loved that you equally appreciate Henrik’s and Aron’s skills. All three guys are out of this world! They make a really old school pop rock tune turn into something mind bending, and still so grooveable (loved that chair dancing :D) Yes, MJ’s legacy certainly lives on in Jonah’s voice… He’s also the one playing all the keys. The thing with his voice: although he started as a two-year old when his parents took him to choir rehearsals, Jonah only started singing again in bands at a much later stage. I think at a band gig the regular frontman dropped out/couldn’t do it, and Jonah jumped in, like: ‘heck, I’ll give it a go, see what happens’ ;) All three guys grew up with music around in their families and met when they studied music and their instruments at Royal College of Music, Stockholm; but it’s just a part of what they’re interested in… Man, I look forward to you checking out more Dirty Loops tunes, and hopefully still sharing some of those with us. Hahaha, just love your enthusiasm and infectious (and incredulous) laughs. :D I'm glad you're back to the Dirty Loops reactions! They put their first videos out already in 2011, and everything, from covers to originals, are of this ridiculous quality, so you have a lot to discover. They mix genres and influences like nobody's business, and no song is like the other. This one has, as you pointed out, a lot of MJ vibes. They said (in a Swedish podcast) that this particular song is a huge flirt with MJ. As a side note, it was the album Turbo (a collab with US guitarist Cory Wong) that was released last year. This song was released in 2020 and was a part of the Phoenix EP. :)

YEAH!!! I've been waiting for you to get back to Dirty Loops! No bad picks from these guys! But since you love harmonies, you should do Next To You soon. You will not be disappointed! I've now listened to their songs hundreds of times, since I listen to them nearly everyday multiple times & STILL I have that same incredulous grin that you do. They are the only band that I have to stop myself from approaching random strangers so they can listen to DL on my phone. (I knew I had a problem when I almost chased the UPS guy down my driveway, because I thought the music would brighten his day. And let me just say no one needs to see my fat booty speed-waddling in public with a blaring phone in my outstretched hand! Yikes!) This song is great. It's tight as hell. They're smokin' to the max. My fav song from them however is... Breakdown. It's smoky, it's slinky, it's subtle, they sneak in the awesome fills over the sublime chord changes, and then, they hit you in the mouth. You should check it out. Get yer chit together first, because his vocal surprise will knock you into next week.

QoFy, I´m late to the party and really diggin´ your reactions to DL both emotionally and musically b/c you have some knowledge about what´s happening there. I dug into that rabbit hole last year with the coming out of "Phoenix" and their YT releases of their song and yes, I bought the CD copy of this production and their first record. Just a suggestion: they also have a side project -> Songs For Lovers, where they feature only the (mostly) 3 of them in a practice room setting, pretty funny and jaw dropping shorts. 1 thing in particular you shouldn´t miss is "Coffee Break" featuring Jonah + Richard Bona, bass) a.o. -> fonky as hell and you have Jonah featuring his outstanding "playing outside" on piano.
