You're right that there is an extra sound on top of the drums. I really appreciated that in-depth look at this piece, thanks, a real eye opener for me in many ways. They’ve used a berimbau (sample?) as part of that rhythm background instrumentation and I swear some other Latin-style percussion instruments as well…maybe part of what you’ve heard there in the background as some kind of rhythm going on throughout… Andreas Ekstedt, a Swedish percussionist, plays on a lot of their tracks. I wonder if he’s supplying that berimbau etc. on this track… Would very much appreciate more reactions to this insane trio. And I’m not a drummer but could imagine that pretty much any of their tracks will showcase Aron and his skills. Check out their cover of ‘Thriller’ (in a collab with Cory Wong), or any of their earlier covers and songs, like Lady Gaga’s ‘Just Dance’, or their track ‘Coffee Break is Over’ :) all of it absolutely mad stuff 🔥🔥🔥 Cheers 👍
