The whole thing was shot either 16 or 35 mm which have pretty good resolutions the latter being up to 4K.

All 24 episodes? Damn I'd need a good portion of Nvidia's render farm. For reference, upscaling 2200 frames with a RX 480 8GB took around 14 hours just for this intro.

Thing is that Topaz A.I. Gigapixel works in increments, say 2x, 3x, 4x etc. In the program the specific width or height you enter, say you want to go from 1440x1080 to 1920x1440, is really just Topaz Gigapixel still upscaling by 2x, so 1440x1080 to 2880x2160, then downsizing to that width or height you entered since this is how upscaling programs work, same goes for Waifu2x. So you're still gonna need to take all that time to upscale to 4K at the least since you can't do anything less than 2x, and even then it would take days worth just for 1 episode, and worse is the amount of storage needed for the frames, since you'll be left with an image sequence, which would take hundreds of GBs just for 1 episode. In conclusion, I can quite literally say you'd need some NASA server grade stuff to make this work with multi-GPUs and terabytes of storage for doing this to an entire show.

I think if we tried to store the images in parts, lets say, do a minute, create the video file, delete the images, then create another minute, in around 3 months of rendering it would be possible to restore a 90 minute movie. Now what i would like to know is to what extent can this program enhance smaller resolutions like dvd footage. Right now i'm trying to make this program work since i dont know the specific settings/image formats to get the results you did, all i'm getting are blurry images, i think i'm doing something wrong here

Dump frames into Topaz Gigapixel and select the suppress noise value you found best with a sample test frame. 3. Wait... (for reference it took ~14 hours for this intro with an RX 480 8GB) 4. Import the image sequence into a video editor and combine the source clip audio, then export
