Did my CB500 forks a couple of years ago, benefit of there being two is when it's a first go, and all the bits go flying out under spring pressure, you have another fork to copy. Used OEM seals, but didn't bother even changing the dust covers.

i noticed on ebay the seals are good, at least for my 1985 kawasaki ninja 600, i pressure tested them to 80 psi and they held, tested them overnight and they still had pressure, so i would say they are good, make sure you get a set with the dust seals, i got mine separate and could not find the dust seals on their own, i used the cheapest oil seals, and then had to get the oil and dust as a set since that was the only way they came, and was not going to change the oil seals again, now i have 3 new sets and the original ones were not bad other than missing one of the springs that goes around the seal the factory ones had 2, the aftermarket only uses one this could be newer materials being better or just cheap parts being lazy
