Just wanna say, glad there are videos like this coming up! I have done for seals, carb clean and balance, service and change the sparkies and caps. (I'd put new spark caps on if you haven't yet!) mine was running on one cylinder when it rained. Keep it up! :)

thomas gavinThanks for the heads up mate, and no the caps are the originals but will be ordering some now lol. I don't wanna touch the carbs just yet. See how she runs then go from there. Will probably need balancing but for now (hopefully) she'll be alright.- Thanks again matt

@@Mr.M1STER if your spanner touches the frame or anywhere when undoing the + it'll spark if the - is still attached

Great series of videos, thanks. I'm taking my carburetor off to give it a service but I'm not sure how to remove the throttle and choke cables. Any tips?

WD-40 the lot and use a toothbrush to clean the shite out. Not see makes it so much easier. Make your cable position and take photos on your phone of the whole arrangement. Then use the adjuster at the bars to give you plenty of slack. Try not to grab the cable with pliers as this can really damage it and snap in the future. - matt

Mate i have a question,i have a EN500,but i have a problem when i have the petrol on(the carbs fill with petrol)but some how the petrol gets into the air breayher box and then into the crank case breather,what might cause this?Thanks

The float needle is not sealing properly or the fuel bowl vent is blocked

I Just bought an old er5 recently and I just have a quick question before I give a service. It looks like you cut a couple of wires under the tank at 2:53. Were you replacing old fuel lines there?
