🚨 Throwback Alert! 🚨 This episode is a classic, but we've never released the full version on KZbin... until now! With Herm & Schrader dropping their first episode next week, we thought it was the perfect time to re-release this gem.

This is the best podcast. Dale Earnhardt Junior has done. Wallace knows so much. It’s like going back in the old days. I love the Wallace and you could probably have them on again and the stories would be different and all because he’s got so many stories to talk about he needs to write a book.

I watched the entire Schrader show before watching this. Now I realize what I was taking for granted. Jr., you are saving the history of the "glory" years. So good to listen to these talks. Takes me back. So many truths shared. Everyone does think famous drivers grew up eating with silver spoons. But I remember racing when it took a group of guys pooling their money to run just once a month but having all the other days work'n on the car or just BS'n, playing cards, cook outs, drink'n a little, going to other race tracks just to watch. Road America in my case. Thank you and your staff and these great guests and sharing your experiences. MAGA? You're making growing up again great.

Dale! I want you to know that this interview with Kenny brought back so many memories to me about me slot car racing before my dad caught me riding a mini bike down our street with a mac 100 which made my dad get me started in go kart racing in nor california where i was an open lite champion which led me to enduro karts where i raced at riverside raceway a few times. I still remember your dad i think ,on wide world of sports running that car on your wall at riverside raceway, and thought what a thrill it was to race on the same track. Those were the Very Best times of my life. Now i'm living the dream in the Philippines at 72 watching your show still getting the thrill that you always remind me of. Love you Dale. You are the Greatest, still....♥

It is a very odd feeling. Growing up in a world where NASCAR was nonexistent. Too far away and too much to keep up with. Drag racing was the Motorsports of choice. It was local to us. Just what we did. I think the same thing happened with drag racing as what happened to NASCAR. Business just ran its course and subdued the personalities. Drag racing has John Force. He’s someone we all enjoy listening to. Good common ground people. I’m finding out the world of NASCAR has the most rich history of genuine people. Each one of these segments are enjoyable. Very good people on display. I can listen and relate in more ways than I ever thought possible. It makes for a better day listening to these people. All of them. I’m a Dale Earnhardt fan. I am a Kenny Wallace fan. Love these people so much I’d never want to bother them.

I remember back several years ago, Kenny Wallace and Kenny Schrader both came to Portsmouth Raceway Park in Ohio to race with us. Both drivers came out for hot laps and really got their cars dialed in. KW was in the first heat and had some mechanical issues and was out for the night. Never to be one to disappoint the fans, he got back to the hauler changed clothes and headed straight up to the tower to help the track announcer call the rest of the action throughout the night. He was on fire and you couldn't stop him!! At the end, a few of the workers in the tower asked for autographs, and when he got to me I asked him "would you record a voicemail greeting on my cell phone?" His response was "I love it, lets do it". Word got out about it and by the time Sunday morning rolled around I had nearly 500 missed calls and complete strangers leaving messages that they just wanted to the voicemail. Dale, you and your staff do a fantastic job on all of these interviews, your are preserving history and highlighting exactly what it took to get to that next level!

I worked at Talladega Spring 2001. Yep. That one. I moved away later that summer. I would occasionally catch a race on TV in the early oughts. People here can probably tell me the race... it was the first half of a season because DW was up in the booth. There was an insanely long rain delay. The booth was scrambling for content. Someone gave Kenny a microphone, and told him to go interview people. To this day, it was one of my favorite NASCAR broadcasts. Kenny's PMA and unique conversational style brought out such great tidbits throughout that entire segment. Even funnier, the editor created a stopwatch feature. DW and crew were having a blast while Kenny was making great TV. I'm convinced that the segment is why Kenny was later able to do TV. Kenny would have difficulty getting Dale Jr. incognito. Even with professional theater makeup, like for undercover boss... We all would recognize Dale Jr.'s distinctive voice and speech patterns.🤭
