Seen many forms of racing over ths years including nascar and indy car, but nothing compares to 25 of those 900+hp fighter jets flying around a race track..high, low, middle. The slidejobs, the vapor trails, the wheel stands, the crazy fans etc. Nothing like it in motorsports!!

I live in Indiana and after moving here 10 years ago from Washington state I was able to go experience dirt for the first time this year. I’m now a fan. I went to 5 different tracks and watched hornets to sprint cars. Unbelievable how many people race dirt compare to asphalt. I know find myself wanting more
@busher69 Жыл бұрын
Asphalt is for paving roads that take you to dirt tracks where they race. You have some great tracks in Indiana. I liked Gas City, it's a Chico CA , Silver Dollar Speedway with a better surface. Gas City is one racy joint.

Dale junior, you have an incredible life! From a stock car legend son and two time Busch series champion & one of the most popular Winston cup/NASCAR drivers and my favorite after your dad and now you are an ambassador in stock car racing. I wish your dad as well as my dad could see all the cool things you're doing online as well as buying the CARS tour. Me and my dad would go to Hooters cup races in Lakeland and new Smyrna FL back in the day it would be so awesome to see the CARS race in person. Me and my dad were truck drivers I know how it's like to look up to your old man and we see this Burt Reynolds character when I'm five years old gear jamming checking on the CB every now and then putting the mic in front of me when I was 5 years old, or even going to the junk yards to get parts for the 53 Chevy Bel Air we restored in many of his restorations. Or of course going to NASCAR races or stock car races or dirt track races where we bonded the most outside the 18 Wheeler and our classic cars. One of the last soundings me and my dad ever went to before his passing in November 2013 was the Turkey rod run classic car show November 2012 at Daytona Speedway even though we didn't get four past the gate cause dad couldn't really walk too well it was a great bonding moment at the world's most famous Speedway. Thank you for everything you've done Dale Earnhardt junior! God bless you and your family and friends As well as us fans of yours!

I worked the fire crew and pushed for a number of years at Port Royal. They are correct. Watching from the stands and watching from just inside the turn 3 -4 wall is so much different. When they come into the turn wide open and pass within ten to fifteen feet of you, the sheer power and speed and sound of these cars cuts right through you. It definitely gives you a whole new perspective and respect for the speed these cars are traveling. If you ever have the chance to experience that, DO IT.

Dale you really want to see some of the best sprint car racing you have to come to Williams Grove speedway for the national open and cross the pedestrian bridge before they remove it for good. You also have to sit on "BEER HILL" at the grove and experience that. Someone at Dirty Mo, let Dale Jr. know that once he's gotten to go to a Dirt Late Model race, he needs to come up to NY and check out a Big Block Modified event. He's talked with Gary Balough, who won the Syracuse 200. Brett Hearn and Barefoot Bob McCreadie made Big Blocks popular in the 80's and 90's and Stewart Friesen from the NASCAR Truck Series started in Big Block mods... And no, these cars aren't those goofy looking things they run in IMCA or UMP modified competition. They're their own thing.

This is where the real racefans are. When you can go to a track and watch the show, sympathize with the guys who 'do it' well but had some hard luck, pull for the the little guy who's racing using skill and hard work to make up for his lack of money, the guy who knows if he tears up his car He's done racing for a long time. The teams who let someone in a points fight barrow their spare car so they don't miss a race. The drivers who say what they mean and not just put on an act for sponsors. The place where five laps from the checkered flag you 'know' that this race is an example of why you are a fan, not big buck sponsors and celebrity drivers. This is real racing!
@glenchapman3899 Жыл бұрын
Yeah definitely. Can not count the number of times I have seen independent drivers driving cars with borrowed parts after getting torn up in a heat. I remember one race. Kid tore up his top wing. No replacement. Out of nowhere someone in the crowd passed the hat around and bought a top wing from another team. Car comes out. No sponsorship, just a crudely painted "THANK YOU" . Very special memory.
