Thai Indie is very good with a lot of gems (I think the most popular Thai indie artist is probably Phum Viphurit with his song Lover Boy but there's so many other talented artists and bands). Other notable bands/artists are YONLAPA, Numcha, LANDOKMAI, Dept and many more (In Thailand, we have a lot of live events where these Indie bands perform like Big Mountain Fest, CAT EXPO and others so if you go to these events, you can often discover a lot of talented artists. HYBS is made up of 2 Thai members, Alyn and Karn (Alyn is actually half Singaporean) and personally I've been following Alyn for a long time ever since he did covers with Billy (The guitarist of the very popular Thai band, Tilly Birds). He's also released some solo songs that have also been quite popular, my personal favourite (Alyn Wee - หัวใจเจ้าเอย (not again) [Official MV]). Their song Tip Toe is very calming and retro but they do have other releases which are more upbeat and groovy to dance to. They also have a collaboration songs with the Singaporean band brb. and Korean r&b artists like slchld. Overall, definitely a good act to follow and their songs are always good. I would love to see them live when I get a chance to go home to Thailand again when I get some vacations days. Also, the band name is pronounced HYBES (Just like Vibes) so very easy to remember lol. Obviously you guys gotta react to their debut and other most popular song "Ride" and "Dancing with my phone" but my personal favourite is their song "Would You Mind".
