Hi, I'm autistic and I went to Disney World last year. I was very grateful to have DAS, I think I would've been overwhelmed with anxiety, if I hadn't decided to register, although I registered onsite at guest relations, so I didn't get the advanced selections, but oh well. I'll be sure to pre-register this time though

How did you find registering onsite? I was told I wouldn't be able to do it via video chat so wondered how you found it? Was there a big queue? Was it easy?

@@emilygray731No not a huge queue at all, but I can't say for certain that it will be the same for you, as crowds are unpredictable these days. And yes, it was easy, I just told them about my autism and they were on it straight away. The more information you give them, the easier it will be to get registered

I'm nervous about getting the most out of the days in the park while also accommodating my ASD young man but i'm sure once I've done it once or twice i'll be fine, and this has really really helped. As an adult with ASD I'm really sad to just now be finding out about DAS. A cast member has never told me about it before. I heard about it from news that the program was changing and was like wait what? You mean this was an option for me this whole time?! Thanks for all the great info. Great video thanks. We have used DAS but always great to see how others use it etc. We pre booked lots of rides before but after day 1 in the park we ended up cancelling the all pre booked. The booked rides were not strategic, I mean they had you running all over the park. We booked them on the day we went into the park and used them alongside our genie+ and lightening lanes.

We are going to Disney next week and have das set up for one of our kiddos. This will be our first time at Disney in several years, first time using das. Our family wants to ride fight of passage, but our youngest (not the kiddo needing DAS) is too small. We plan on using rider switch. When we sign up for the ride with das should we include our youngest in the rider selection or no and tell the cast member when we get to the lightning lane we need to use rider switch. I don’t know how far we take our youngest with us in the lines or if she would need to scan in at all.

If I male advance reservations and then on the day we either decide to go to a different park or not to ride those rises can I still use the standard das system to ride other rides?

Absolutely. You'll lose the advanced reservations if you Dom't use them, but they won't impact on the day DAS xx

I’m going to subscribe to your channel. I love how you present information. Of course, your children are so very cute. I have a quick question. Do you know if you are staying at a Disney hotel and you get early entry at 8:30 am can you make your in park DAS selection as soon as you scan in or do you have to wait the park opens for everyone at 9 am? Are you able to pre book 2 rides PER child? so you have 3 autistic children, were you able to pre-book 6 rides or is it limited to 2 rides regardless how many people have DAS? X

No, it's 2 rides for everyone in the party, so we all had ride x at say 1pm, then ride y at 4pm. Hope that makes sense.

So glad you're loving th channel. Yes, she can still be registered for DAS. Take a look at this from the Plan Disney team; I am happy to inform you that your family member who is under 3 may be eligible for DAS. Even though they will not need theme park tickets to enter, children under 3 are always a Guest of Mickey! Your family member may be registered for the DAS in person at Guest Relations inside any of the theme parks, or they may choose to pre-register in advance with DAS online. If they choose the option of pre-registering, this may be done from 2-30 days before their arrival. During the registration process, the Cast Member will help them select 2 one-hour Return Times for each day they have valid theme park admission. Each day they visit a theme park they will also be able to select additional DAS Return Times, one at a time.

Planning this year trip with my 14 year old daughter with autism like disability but it really seems worse than the system on Disneyland Paris were the disability card allows one to just use the "FasTrack" or disability line and not wait for slots. Since we can only schedule one ride , if it's a 1h wait line for a ride it sounds that you have to find rides or shows to fill that 1h wait right? Thanks a lot for these great vlogs

Is there a version of Priority Card which they have in Paris? This is the one we usually would get. This DAS you're talking about seems to be more like the Easy Access card, which is slightly different. So is DAS the only option they have in the states?!

Thanks for the helpful vlog I have a question, if I have a party of 6 and we are are all registered on my disney experience under my daughter who has DAS can 2 members go home half way through the day and the other 4 including my daughter book onto rides without them? Meaning we don't need all six members to book rides if some members arnt present as long as the DAS member is present! Sorry hope you get what I mean 😮 thankyou

If you book 2 rides in advance with the video call like you showed do you have to ride those 2 rides before you can book something else at the park with the DAS. Example. We get to the park with 2 rides Already prebooked.... 1 at 10 and the other at 11.. do we have to wait until we are on the second ride to book again with the DAS in the park?

Currently, the maximum number of Guests you can have registered on one DAS account is six (the Guest with a disability and five additional Guests) unfortunately x

We have a party of 15 people with multiple AKL rooms, yet there are 3 people that have the disabilities that qualify for the DAS program are all staying in one of the rooms. Two of the DAS-holders would be mother and son. I realize only 6 per DAS-holder is allowed. In order to navigate this situation, are we going to have to split the reservations up into three groups to make this work? Can we do that even though they are in the same room? Sorry, first time using this system and still learning.

Personally I would split up the guests into groups of 5, with the qualifying person each having 4 people accompanying them. It doesn't matter about rooms as you could use DAS even if you stayed off site. I'd put people into groups according to attraction preferences (eg all rollercoaster lovers in one group etc) x

I understand Zara got her diagnosis and she’s younger, did you go private in the uk or was it pushing for the doctors to get her through system? The reason I ask is I believe my daughter is autistic and potentially add. But I’m not getting far in anyone taking her seriously and I didn’t know if it was worth the fee of going private? We’re going Disney September 2025 and I’m worried how she will handle everything as she’s a Covid baby and hates big crowds. Becomes very overwhelmed. 30 days from your first park day, you can do 7 days of pre selects, then you need to go back in chat to do final 3 days of pre selects.

Do they have DAS for Disney Cruise. My daughter has Autism Level 3 (severe) and selective mute. We are booked on a cruise in October, Brisbane Australia. I am getting stressed as she has never been on a plane or a ship. She will hate the noise on boarding. (I want to sneak on quietly) and then go and sit somewhere very quiet until we can get in our room. I have also emailed them to request a quiet area to meet a character.

For those of you with physical disabilities that aren't mobility related, don't stress. Under the new system, you are still elegible for DAS. Take your paperwork with you like for Tokyo and Paris for back up.

You’re 100% wrong. Disney has already said that they will not be looking at documents and that the DAS is not for mobility issues.
