Thanks so much for everything man it really means a lot to me. Im hoping to inspire people out there that are facing hard times. Wether they look like me or not. Its been hard as a kid growing up but I always knew I had a purpose. Its like I felt my kids presence even before they even existed. I hope my story can one day help me help my kids live in a better life where we don't need help with the government anymore. Thanks again for bringing awareness to those that struggle in many ways. Without you we wouldn't be seen out there. I've followed you for many years and it took me 8 years to contact you! It took a lot of courage to come forward especially with such a big audience but ut does feel like i lifted a bug weight off my shoulders and i know i hope others can relate and seek an interview with you! Much love to you and your family Chris 🙏🏼❤️

Your mom was the only broken person in this story. You sir, are perfect.
@Sarlat7

...and his dad, who was apparently out partying and ignoring his existence too. It always kinda shocks me how little people blame fathers when the moms are being abusive - that's his kid too, why is it more acceptable that he never came in to raise his son? When you have an abusive dad, people instantly go "Where was his/her mom?!?!". The truth is, both parents were shit and both responsible for the abuse. He shouldn't have fathered a child if he was going to neglect them. This double standard needs to die.

@@Sarlat7To be fair, I see far more comments assuming the negative about fathers while excusing mothers. The mother was mentioned because Ariel only talked about his mother, so we don't know anything about his father...besides that he didn't grow up with him.

@@Sarlat7 Agreed. I honestly thought it was insinuated by not mentioning him that he was without worth in this. Kind of not even worth mentioning. The mom I'm holding maybe MORE accountable because she should have already had 9 months to build the bond with the child. It seems in this case mom and dad were both respectively incubator and sperm donation cup.

@@lavernevictoriacarol4531 I agree. Alcohol and drugs de-sensitize a person: that's a medical fact. They cannot empathize with anyone. As a former alcoholic/addict of about 6 or 7 years, (free now for about 24 years, by the Lord Jesus;) I can truly testify that it's so. The demonic influence of drugs and that of alcohol, robs a person of their ability t9 "feel." It's a rotten life. They need Jesus. But we ALL do. Ariel is loved by the Lord, but unless he turns to Him, he is lost too. "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 ALL. The really good news is this: God in his foreknowledge of us all, placed all our sins on Jesus at the Cross, and He has paid the price for them all. We only need believe on Him and accept His free gift with thanks and invite him int9 our hearts to be our Lord and Saviour. It works! I've had many miraculous answers to prayer over my decades of following Him. It's a joy and honor knowing Jesus personally. For He reveals Himself to all who call on Him sincerely.

I’m sending you love, compassion and understanding. BPD is not an easy diagnosis. I’m very sorry you went through this, and lost your sister by suicide; I lost my brother as well. Seek out people who care for you. Yet, take care of you first. Blessings to your Grandparents too!

This man is amazing for being a real man and a real father. Some people don't deserve to have children but I'm glad Ariel exists to be there for his own children, despite the fact that his "parents" abandoned him. If you do that, you don't deserve children. I don't care what's different about your kid, if you can't handle that, don't have them in the first place. That's not something I feel is difficult to understand. As someone with special needs myself, that's something I wish possible future parents would consider. Don't just assume your kid will be born problem free. You have to be realistic. If you don't have it in you to deal with possible problems that may come up, don't have children because you aren't meant to if that's something you can't handle to the point that you abandon your own kids. That part really enraged me. However, Ariel's whole family is beautiful and I'm glad he's there for them.

As someone who was raised by her grandmother when her mom didn’t want to be a parent..I too couldn’t wait to have a family!I’m a single mom of four teens…One of whom I just adopted when his parents tossed him out ❤Ita hard being a single mom and putting food on the table but like Ariel, it’s what I was born to do. Ariel you inspire me so much…. Know there are many of us lost children out there who are changing it for the next generation. The love you showed for your family brought me to tears ❤❤❤ and you and your wife are awesome parents to some pretty awesome kids ! Best of luck and keep being you!

Beauty is not from outside. Not judged by how you look. Beauty comes from inside. This father of 5, in my eye is very handsome and good looking because he’s a good loving father and husband. That qualifies him a great Dad! 👍❤️🙏❤️ thank you for your story and sharing your childhood with us. May God Bless you and your entire family! You deserve to have a beautiful family! ❤

I was holding up so well until he said that he would gladly relive his child hood if it meant he would still meet wife and then it made me cry. So sweet, what a kind soul. Bless his grandmother, her sacrifice saved not only one life, but created 5 more.

Something very amazing is how often in "normal" families (mom, dad, "high functioning", appearing 'normal') the parents actually are NOT good parents and have very antagonistic relationships with their parents. Amazingly, many who do have it obviously difficult are the ones who actually learn from their difficulties what it is to be a great person and parent. Ariel is so obviously gifted especially due to his tough life growing up. Of course his grandparents were instrumental in helping him develop into such a genuinely understanding kind soul. So happy you are in my world Ariel. Thanks for sharing your life's story.

This man has been through some crap in his life, I'm so glad that he is still here to be a brilliant father to his five children. Full respect to Ariel. Life is never easy but it dealt him one hell of a hand considering how crappy his parents were to him. It's good to see that he hasn't fallen into the ways of his parents as many do when they have childhood trauma. Seems like he uses that pain as a motivator which is very inspiring as it is SO easy to let it get on top of you and envelope you completely.

It's more likely that Ariel was abandoned not because of his deformities, but because of his parents' drug addiction - which probably caused the deformities in the first place. I notice that there is no mention of his grandfather being in the picture .So grandmother was probably dealing with all of his special needs and operations on her own. Anyway, Ariel is indeed an inspiration and a hero. It also takes a good heart for his wife to have seen the value of his heart despite his appearance. I will share this story online. The world needs more folks like this man and his beautiful loving family.

Not only was she presumably more concerned with drugs, but she also probably felt shame on some level for potentially causing his condition, and may have acted her negative feelings out against him. People tend to scapegoat those they've hurt in order to feel better about themselves. It's super toxic but it's common.
