Romina's mother was never right. Instead of being a trophy wife or an actress who plays risky roles, Romina have built an empire and made good decisions for herself. I don't understand why do you take from her, painting a picture of a pathetic woman who sacrificed too much, and was cheated on. Her life is so fascinating, she seems like a very clever and interesting person but you ignore it and make her story into a cheap soap opera. They don't talk much about their private life but it's not a secret that it was Albano who got broken up with. Romina never made peace with her daughter's disappearance. Whilst Albano needed to accept the possible truth and move on, she was constantly travelling to USA, she kept on hiring dozens of people specialized in investigative work of any kind, to help with the search. It could be that Albano's attitude, seemed like betrayal. No info on such intimate matters are known but Albano said himself that their life was a fairytale until the tragedy. Then Romina changed and wanted to change her life too. He never remarried. He has a long time girlfriend and they have kids together but he never publicly humiliated Romina and it was her decision to move on. Don't make a weak person out of her and a villain of Albano. Her mother wasn't happy about Romina and Albano's union not because she was protective about her daughter's future or freedom. With her mother's permission Romina became engaged to Stash Klossowski de Rola at the age of 15. The man was 9 years older than Romina. The mother agreed for her teenage, underage daughter who hadn't graduated from high school yet, to cosplay adulthood and travel the world. She agreed for her kid to rely on a 24-years-old man. I'm young but I know enough about the past to understand that just living together without marriage wasn't acceptable. Because of her mother's selfishness Romina was put in a dangerous situation that could have ended badly. The permission her mother gave is enough proof that the social position was everything and should be attained at any cost. Romina never said anything directly negative about that time in her life, and I don't want to sensationalize her experience. I painted the picture for people who read your comment. Romina is an artistic soul who always spoke highly about art and the opportunity she had to meet and befriend amazing artists. She just expressed her disappointment about the lolita-esque roles she played as a kid. I want to double underline that Romina never presented herself as a victim. Albano wasn't the antihero. Her mother might have presented the matter as her mission to save Romina but in reality she just wanted to be a stage mom, to have control and for her daughter to marry a rich and important person, so she could have been "somebody" again. Romina's mother used to be an actress. Maybe it was the unfulfilled ambition that made her to be such an opportunist. Albano wouldn't be who he is without Romina. She was an integral part of the duo. It doesn't seem as if she sacrificed anything for his career. Without her, he wouldn't be so popular. He never made it as a solo act. It were songs they made together that ruled the world. You talk of her like some kind of victim or a baby machine who was used and hadn't have a fulfilling life and career. She painted, played in movies and travelled the world. She came from a rich family, she could leave her husband at anytime. She was never in his shadow, they worked together for their success. Despite being a mother she was winning San Remo and singing around the Europe.

She was an integral part of their duo. I don't care for their music. I got into the topic because I'm writing a paper on Romina. It's the first time someone presented Romina as such. Everybody pities her pain she feels as a mother but I haven't seen people painting her as a stagnant woman. She was always outspoken, powerful and independent. Such a weird comment you wrote, invalidating all of her work and achievements. Romina had a fantastic life. She was never a victim of her circumstances. The great tragedy changed it forever, but even in face of such misery she's dignified and strong.
