I shipped twice by bike but i used one full bubbles rolls to wrap the bike and yes they do carelessly life the bike

I agree. If you have a big bike, then opt for private transport. Last year I transported my Hornet 2.0 from Bhubaneshwar to Bangalore and there was no issues. This time it's a bigger and heavier vehicle, so they couldn't handle it properly.

I could have done that. But didn't because it was a new bike. Only 1000km ridden. I know it's capable of doing 1300km but didn't feel like it. Next time will do that 😄

train ka mera bhi aisa hi exprience tha, avoid whenever possible. Btw without mirror bike mast lag rhi hai.

It was around 2000 for the bike + 1% of declared value of the item.

What if your bike was bmw the damage cost might have been too much. Due to these reasons tourism is hampered. People can't think of travelling. No one is accountable. Even if you transport using a truck, it's the same. Too risky.

Along with money it costs time. For this RE, I have visited 3 times already still one part not available, let alone bmw or triumph. I was planning to transport to Delhi for Ladakh ride. Now I'm thinking if anything happens, my 15 days will be spent looking for parts and repairs even if I'mwillingto pay for it. Whole trip is done there.

It was only 12 days old. So didn't want to stress the engine that much. From my home Hyderabad os 1300km.

@VoyagerGiri actually post 50 to 100 kms there is practically nothing to get settled in ... In my view ... Ofcourse .. in my SM 650 i crossed 1500km within a month ... So you might wanto to try it for the next bike :p

I have ridden 1200km as of now.. I know it's capable and there is nothing to worry but didn't want to take risk.. For me also it's a big upgrade from hornet2.0 to this, so I'm not used to it... that's why 😄

I will tell you a brutal truth mate - I think you did a mistake by sending it via railways. Dude, if I had to send a splendor or activa I would be skeptic of the way they handle bikes in IR, you sent a freaking 4 lakh rupee mammoth? And man, that is literally the best tourer you can buy for that money, just drive it from wherever you want. The bike is literally done to do pan-India tours. Anyways, just try bubble wrapping or send it via trucks, trains are horrible they treat bikes like shit.

Yes I did a blunder. Actually last time I sent my hornet 2.0 from Bhubaneshwar to Bangalore and everything was fine. So I trusted. Won't do that again 😂. I know this bike can do pan India but it was pretty new, only 1100km ridden, so didn't want to stress it out riding 1300km from my home to Hyderabad. Also I know nothing would have happened if I had ridden to Hyderabad but................. didn’t want to torture it 🫠

इसमें रेलवे की कोई गलती नहीं है। आपको यह बात पता होना चाहिए की रेलवे के पार्सल में बाईक को थोड़ी बहुत नुकसान तो होती ही है। इसलिए रेलवे से transport avoid करें। क्योंकि रेलवे को इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता कि आपकी संपत्ति को कोई नुकसान पहुंचा हो और उसकी भरपाई भी वह नहीं करेगी।

Mai maanta hun ki nuksaan ho sakta hai. But jab maine bataya ki ye hua hai seedha mujhe ye bola gaya ki aap jahan se bike uthaye the wahan jayiye. Koi logic hai iss baat ka! Phir jab maine complain kari to same officer mujhe sab process batane lage. Iska matlab process hai but koi iss cheez ka accountability nhi lena chahta. Iss baat ka gussa ata hai thoda.
