He’s done it every game of his career. Him and Jokic. The refs just bless them all year long. There’s literally videos of both of them jumping up and down, mouth wide open to the air, eyes closed, and hands out wide. Like a brat. Luka should’ve been facing this scrutiny but the refs chose them over OKC and MIN. Also though, this is how sports and entertainment work. He needs this to build his storyline for the next 10 years. He either recovers, learns to lead, and wins multiple. Or he fails to correct himself and is a brat the rest of his career. We need this. We need the Shai and Ant losses. The worst part about Luka complaining every play is that HE is the one who is always initiating the contact--leaning in on jumpshots from 10 feet in, kicking his leg out on 3s, throwing shoulders and forearms--so it's not somebody like Giannis who is just trying to score and gets hit every play. It's a guy who is used to deceiving refs, realizing they call games differently in the finals because they don't want to decide them. You can actually see him scared to guard Jaylen Brown, too. Like the 5th foul, when he pretended to fall and tackle him instead of going 1-v-1 because Brown had already scored on him 5 times in the post this game. He's also fat. Like, he's always been varying degrees of chubby for basketball, but he seems out of shape.

Defense wins championships. Luka is a liability on defense and you can see him just walk to get an outlet pass after getting SMOKED by whoever he's guarding, instead of rotating or calling help. Boston always looks to isolate ANYONE Luka is guarding because he takes no pride in his defense. If forced to play defense like end of game 3, he just fouls and expects the refs to help him like they do on offense where they let him constantly push off to get space. He committed at least 10 fouls if you count the OBVIOUS offensive push offs where he literally throws a forearm to get space.

@@fan2hd277 In the history of the NBA Jordan is the only player equally good on defense as offense? Even his teammate Pippen was even better on defense than offense. Half the hall of fame is there for defense. You are completely ignorant of NBA history and how this game is played.

I realized Luka will never care enough to win at this level last season when he had a fan thrown out of a game for screaming “Get on a treadmill” at him. Now that’s disgusting.

Luka worse than Ben Simmons on defense 😂
@Binnieishere6 ай бұрын
Ok I make fun of Ben Simmons just as much as the next person, but Simmons is actually one of the best defenders in the league when he's actually playing. He's know for his defense and playmaking abilities. He should have won DPOY in 2021 instead of being runner up.

Honestly i don't like his personality and his style of game, but the media guys are not being fair with him. It's the very media that now burries him with criticism that glorified him as "best player in the world" not 2 weeks ago. And the guy has been playing like this his entire career. He is an elite scorer and passer, but his defensive effort, his conditioning, his off the ball movement and his ability to lead and have other teammates involved is just non-existing. These deficiencies have been present in his game his entire career and he is just not evolving. The primary reason he is in the finals is because of kyrie's unbelievable performance this postseason. The sooner the media stops projecting this false image of him as next goat and starts to rate his game realistically troughout the season, the sooner he will receive incentive to get better and work on his weak points. This constant patronizing him with "Luka magic" bs is not doing him any favours.

Luka fouling out should be his reason to get in better shape. If he was cut, he likely has less fouls w/ the ability to move quicker/think quicker. Sharp mind and body, better leader too.

Windhorst & Perk saying Game 3 will be a learning experience for Luka. By 2026 Luka will be ready to be a leader. How can anyone call him the #1 player in game when analysts still talk about him like a raw prospect who is a couple yrs away from being a mature leader. Jokic & SGA don't have these questions.

sweep. celtics champs. it is done. this team has been on playoff runs for years. now they have learned their lessons and is 1 win away from the championship. as bad as an all star dunk contest contestant brown was, he has now become an alpha by being consistent throughout the playoffs. tatum is a beta with his up and down performances. white and jrue has been great support for them. porzing at least made an impact on game 2. mavs, on the other hand, has offensive power in luka & kyrie but is subpar in defense especially compared to boston. it is their first time in the finals since dirk. although they have improved their defense a bit, it is still not enough to stop the celtics. luka's immaturity also has cost them their finals. these constant bickering and complaining instead of putting his head in the game. this run is a tough lesson for them. will they come back next year? lets see.
