Knecht could actually be a real candidate for ROY. He'll probably have quite a fairly usage with the Lakers, will be in a team with better players around him than most of his 2024 draft colleagues and he's more NBA ready than others that went higher than him in the draft.

They didnt add a lot of new pieces but having Knecht and Vincent out there to space the floor will open things up for others. Theyll be better than last year, not by a huge margin but itlll show up with the eye test

Wouldn't JHS be a nice young building block after the LeBron era? I feel like it's too soon to compare the impact of players who were taken after him when he only played 21 games in his rookie year. Is that even an indictment on his play or the fact that Lakers are still trying to win before LeBron retires? Priotizing PT for a young guard just isn't gonna happen. I'm curious to see if he'll have a role to carve out some mins but I feel like he won't play consistently until Year 3 or unless an injury happens. Also, 1.5% chance of landing the number 1 pick and you win the lottery. It's even in the 2K script to rig it for LA so they don't stay mediocre for long 🤣🤣
