Thx the dome removal technique where you use the dome as its own fulcrum is particularly helpful. Mine was hopelessly stuck and since it is made of plastic risked damaging.

Nicely done thank you 👍 My Grohe has a grub screw that needs a security hex bit to remove it, cannot take the top handle off its completely stuck argh! Isn't the '46850000' cartridge either, hate Grohe so much 🤔

Have you tried the WD40 before removing the top handle?

Glad to know u liked it. It depends on the type of failure in the cartridge. For ex., if the cartridge is leaking due to a torn rubber seal, it would be enough to look for a sealing replacement in the market.

Those rubber sealings are not so common to look for… I doubt it that they would be available. Have u seen what I’m talking about?

My question as well. The separate feeds are leaking at their gaskets and I need to remove the next level down to change them. Any help would be super appreciated!

The 2 flexible feed pipes need a special tool that is usually available at the GROHE service. You may call the support line for help with this one.

Here there is a screw to unscrew it. But in case of Grohe bib tap I could not find any such screw. Where is the screw to open it for repairing ?

It depends on rhe model for the tap. Some taps, you only have to pull the knob and it will come out, other taps have one screw under a removable nickel plated cover.

The standard Allen Key 3 mm size that you may use with all GROHE mixers for removing the handle

Your handle came right off. Mine is frozen on. I've tried everything from penetrating oil, heat hammering, prying. And yes, I did completely remove the 3mm allen set screw. Any suggestions on how to get the handle off?

I had the same problem- but after gently but consisently prying up the lower chrome mount ring which had some hard water build-up on it, and then also continously pulling the handle in a straight-up motion repeatedly from several slightly different angles and positions, it eventually came off. (Took about 5 minutes) - I was also very careful to wrap it ibeforehand n a damp cloth so it would not break or chip anything nearby (expensive tile backsplash and counter and mirror)when it finally came loose in a quick jerk!) good luck!

Somebody else try getting vinegar to break the mineral deposits. Beyond that yeah it can require a ridiculous amount of upward force to the point of risking injury when it finally does give way.
