Disassembly Acer Aspire E1 571G 531 Packard Bell TE Laptop Repair

I watched this video and immediately afterwards took apart my laptop keypad (Acer E1-571). I had a spill earlier in the day (hibiscus tea and it contained sugar) so my keys were sticky; especially the bottom keys from Ctrl to Space Bar. I endured it for the rest of the day but by night it didn't seem to be getting any better and for every time I depressed the Space Bar, I got about three spaces. So I got on the internet and found videos. I saw two others before this one but this was the most helpful by far. I followed the simple steps and for the first time in my life, attempted and successfully removed the keyboard of my laptop. I cleaned it with some nail polish remover (no rubbing alcohol) and refitted it with almost no incident. I had a bit of problems reconnecting the keypad to the laptop but that was because I was being very soft-handed. I applied a little more force and lo! I reconnected it perfectly. Now everything works just great! I'm sure any reader can sense my excitement. Thank you for posting this video.

I own a PB EN TE11HC, and this video helped me a great deal. When I bought it the left screen hinge came with a defect and over a period of time damaged the casing. Eventually the power button didn't work. With the help of this video I disassembled the laptop and fixed the problem with the power button. Thanks!

Great thing about this video is that I don't have to move it backwards to get my reassembly right; he has already recorded the reassembly too.. Very helpful video, thanks. the left hand screen hinge has broken away from the 3 screws holding it down (see your vid at 10.00 top left of screen) and is now effecting the power recharge and the screen flickers constantly. Do you have any videos of you replacing/fixing this? thanks again.

I have taken my Acer Aspire E1-571 apart to clean it, but I am scared to take the fan out of its casing. I am scared that I might bend something on the motherboard. I might try it after watching your video. I think there is some dust buildup in the fan casing. The fan is not spinning as fast as it should, so my laptop keeps overheating. SWS Computer Repair wants $50 just to clean it and do diagnostics. I do not have any thermal paste at the moment. Would it be ok to clean that area and not apply the thermal paste until I can get some?

This laptops made with HM77 chipsets (Compal LA-7912P). With HM77 You can use any socket G2 CPU with TDP up to 35W - i3 2370M, i3 3130M, i5 2540M, i5 3380M, i7 2640M, i7 3540M. You can even use a quad core i7 with 35W TDP - 3612QM and 3632QM, but they have a low clock speed and moderate boost, and with lowend GT710M they are useless in most programs/games. IMHO best bet - 22nm i5 ($55 for i5 3380M), but for $35 i5 2540M good too.

I think you can if you know what to buy i never tried this but i saw that they use express card to connect with egpu but if you dont have express card slot in ur laptop i guess you need to buy an external express card slot with usb connect it to laptop via usb then buy express card conenct it to the external express card port connect the pcie 16x to the express card you need power supply connect ur egpu to some tv using hdmi or vga and you might got it to work!

People You can Upgrade an external Video card on this laptop because you didnt pay attention if someone make an pci express micro with usb just like they did with the Pci express slot on the laptop we can actually upgrade this laptop with an external gpu and the Pci Express mini and Pci Express Micro has the same slot we need a usb version of that we cant fit Pci express mini because the space is too short they have the same slot tho if only they make an USB version of that WLAN PCIe MICRO we will upgrade it with external gpu!

I bought an Acer Aspire E1-531 laptop a year ago (4GB DDR3,500GB HDD, windows 7). However, my laptop has started misbehaving a week ago. Firstly, it shows up a screen asking me to login or perform window memory diagnostics. I somehow bypass that screen and log in. Now, the system selects the last icon/folder of every screen(my computer,browser, start menu). The cursor too scrolls at the bottom automatically and doesn't move up at all. two of the 'Fn' keys don't work. Memory diagnostics tool too doesn't find any problems.I formatted the hdd 7 to 8 times, but to no use. Please help.

You can try to blow some air into the heatsink from the outside, but really you need to take apart the laptop to clean it good. When I took apart mine I found a ton of dust built up inside even though i blew it with a can of air from the outside.

Melchior Silezin laptop fans arent as strong as desktop fans. It depends on your needs, if your going to do some gaming its going to overheat but if its nothing to heavy you should be ok

I have same laptop with 8 gig ram yes you can upgrade your to 8 gig it already has one 4 gig card in it so buy another 4 gig card try to get same brand if you cant get one that is compatible with whats in it and runs at same speed as whats in your laptop now any questions feel free to ask

I don't play games on a computer so i have no idea how it will operate but as i said i have the same computer as you intel B960 processor 8 gig ram and i don't game with it but i dont have any problems computing at all but it may be slower gaming though as its not really i gaming computer i hope this helps you

It's not your RAM that you need ot worry about for gaming but the graphics processor. Yes RAM will increase the loading sped & speed of machine when it is doing multiple actions but to improve your game performance you need a better Graphics card.

Yes u should do that and try to put ur rams in place if they got mixed up If doesn't work then open up the whole thing and then remove your processor and put it back again

That is a common problem with hard drives. Try replacing the hard drive, or even better, an SSD.
