I drove a 1991 1.5 IE when it was 10-15 years old already and enjoyed it very much until the head gasket sprung a leak and filled one of the rear cylinders with water. It would have been a nice project if I had had a good space to work on it :( I did all of my maintenance on the side of the street, it was the first car I ever replaced the timing belts on, myself almost hanging upside down under the hood. Good memories.

Very nice and detailed video! And no, you are not too thorough, especially for 33 owners!! I own a 1994 33 1.4 Imola. Your tips and tricks regarding factory fittings-connentions-clips etc are very usefull, as well as the step by step process you follow! Keep up the good work and old-school Alfas running / restored!!! Btw, your english has been vastly improved!!! Greetings from Greece!

Please take some time and show in detail the disassembly of the AC control panel from the dashboard, I am having difficulties fitting the vertical part of the dashboard (in front of the gear lever) and its side covers. Looking forward to see more videos coming on this. 👍 By the way, I fixed 8V version and it's my daily, the video is on my YT channel. Best of luck from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰

Great to see that you finally made a start on this car..lots to do...since it is going to take some time then maybe it might have been better to position/turn the car through 90 degrees and work on it totally under cover it seems that thee is space beside the car but none in front?
@alfaromeonoproblem Жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for watching! On the assembly yes, I will do that. The donor car will not be three and I will have both spaces to work with

Very interesting video Bruno. I always liked the 33 16v a lot, but sadly here in South Africa they did not sell well. I have only ever seen 1 and 2x Sportwagons. The little engine seems very exotic with 4x cams and individual throttle bodies and the styling is a work of art. I was amazed to see the Romablok clamps on the plenum pipes, which you can still buy from Classic Alfa, I think. My old Giulia 1300 has these old Romablok clamps on too. All the best with restoration, looking forward to the next episode. One last thing - Please, please do not use the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in vain. Thank you.

Thank you very much for your support. Here they sold well but the sportwagons did not. It's a region thing o believe.

Hi Bruno, great video, thankyou. One question if l may. I have an excellent 2ltr JTS motor and manual gearbox in a written off donor car that l wish to place in another 156 with a damaged motor and selespeed transmission. Would it be best to remove the engine complete with the front end attached?
