Great video. Just bought one at a second had store without a key. Hard time finding a video to explain how to remove the core to rekey the lock. Works great!

Great Video Jason. I’ve done this same thing many times, mostly just out of curiosity. I find picking the most satisfying. My servicing with these locks is just a good WD40 spraying followed with a good compressed air blowout. Spray grease once clean.. Other than occasional wear on the pull fork, replacing latch assembly and cylinder, these locks can last forever.

I had to do that once, and it is a bit finnicky with the pushbutton alignment. Still the best door handles out there. 30.Jan.2022

This was a great video, no idea why it got 32 thumbs down. Thank you for making it! If you don’t have the key and can’t pick it, but you do have the “Schlage service tool SCT-1”, does it make this a little easier as you don’t need to take it completely apart? I’m struggling with an old A series (60s/70s, ribbed glass handle) without a key and no luck picking...

Oh I see now, my latch is broken and depressed and needs to be pulled out in order to remove the lock. Thank you!
